Puppies&Yoga at The Box Studio in Milwaukee was such an amazing experience! I was able to take my teenage daughter and she was in heaven the whole time! The staff encourage you to snuggle with the puppies if you’d like, or enjoy the yoga experience. Highly recommend going, and if you can, bring your family or a group of friends!
As soon as we saw The Box venue and met Jamie, the fabulous event coordinator, we knew this was where we wanted to get married. The venue could not have been more perfect for our June wedding and reception. Jamie made the whole process a breeze by working directly with our vendors to coordinate the day. Jamie was highly communitive throughout the entire planning process and never made me feel like I was bothering her. Our wedding day was incredibly special and went so smoothly. I didn't have to worry about anything and a and a huge part of the success was the location, and Jamie's expert coordination. The Box is a gorgeous industrial feeling venue that perfectly suited our needs. If I could give more stars, I would.
Where do I begin?! We had our ceremony at the Doubletree Hilton and wanted a space for our reception close to the hotel, but without spending an arm and a leg. We booked The Box for our wedding reception in June and everything went perfectly. We were looking for a venue that was affordable and not over priced, no food/beverage minimum, minimal setup, timeless and beautiful, and that could accommodate our guest list of 75. The Box checked alllll of these boxes. I love that we were able to arrange the space how we envisioned and choose our own caterer (we used BelAir Cantina). Jamie worked with us to select a bar package that was extremely reasonable and fit our budget. We felt zero pressure during our meetings and Jamie assured me her team would make sure the space looked lovely, and she was right! We saved money on decor by using The Box’s candles and some lamps they provide, and we brought bud vases with flowers in for table decor. They had all the tables set and ready to go for my personal assistants to set up the little details (bud vases, signage, card box, etc). Both Jamie and Jaime were a delight to work with and made sure we felt comfortable and happy. They were both very responsive and answered all of my questions. I felt like they truly cared about helping to make our wedding day successful and that meant so much to us. There seemed to be plenty of street parking and I know a few guests utilized the parking garage kitty corner across the street with no issues. 10/10 would recommend The Box for a wedding reception or any event for that matter. This space has so much potential and they can help bring your vision to life. I am so happy we chose The Box to celebrate our marriage with our favorite people!! Also downtown Milwaukee and the riverwalk are within walking distance and are PERFECT for photos, even in the rain.
We absolutely loved having our event at The Box, and planning with Jamie Berger and Levine was such a treat! We originally had our wedding celebration planned for May of 2020, then due to covid moved to October 2020, then once again to October of 2021. They could not have been more accommodating for us moving our event 2x, during a time where their business I am sure was taking a hit due to the pandemic. Both Jamie’s were always incredibly responsive and accommodating to whatever we needed during the whole process. When it came the day of, they came in even a bit earlier than our contract time to make sure the band could setup on time. During the actual event, I don’t think it could have possibly gone smoother than it did. Our manager Katelynn had everything under control, the bartenders were great and our guests never had to wait for a drink, and when it came tear down time Katelynn had helped pack all of our decorations so we could continue to go and enjoy ourselves. Thanks again to both Jamie and Jaime for helping us have such an amazing day, and would 1000% recommend using The Box for any sort of event.
Our experience with the The Box was fine, but could have been better. The only reason I'm not giving it a lower rating is because the staff that actually worked our wedding were top-notch and the price point was desirable. I wish that working with Jamie Levine was just as great. We began our relationship with the venue working with the other owner, Jamie Berger, and she was awesome. So friendly, so fun and easy to talk to; she genuinely seemed excited to host us. We loved working on our vision with her and talking to her about things that we wanted and didn't want. After we decided to postpone our wedding, we began exclusively working with Jamie Levine, and that was not as nice. She came off as cold and annoyed, and was not very accommodating when it came to certain aspects of our wedding that kept changing as COVID changed and evolved. I appreciated all the answers to the many questions that came up the weeks before the wedding, but the way that Jamie spoke to us made us feel like we were an inconvenience and just overall a burden and she was a little condescending. Our parking validation was also not properly set up by the venue so we had guests who never had their parking validated and had to pay full price. We were bombarded with questions and concerns from Jamie on the days leading up to our wedding that could have been dealt with weeks prior like reminding us when we needed to be out of the venue, issues with our caterer in which I had to call them to deal with it, issues with our decorations that had been previously discussed with Jamie Berger. It was also like we were meeting for the first time every time we spoke. She never seemed to have a grasp on what page we were on, and even who we were sometimes. It was incredibly disingenuous and upsetting because this was the person we were paying to hold the most important of our lives and she couldn't be bothered to even take the time to make sure she was speaking to the right couple. Overall, the space was great for our smaller wedding, and we were able to utilize the space to our liking and our guests had a great time. The staff--the bartenders, the manager, Jamie Berger-- were amazing, and we really loved celebrating with them. However, working with Jamie Levine was kind of a miss in our opinion and we probably would have steered clear if we knew how much of a pain and emotional labor it would have been.
