I really had high hopes for this place. The food was good but it felt like we did most of the work ourselves. From the pre-ordering (including pre-tipping!) to getting your own sodas from the display, even if you want water, you got to go fetch it yourself. The prices are way too high for all that work! I'd definitely use this place for to-go, take home and eat and watch Netflix orders. Because the Chilaqueles are very good! The berry Crepes could use some work on the display. Not enough creme filling in them either. They're Meh...
First time visiting Arizona and i had a great experience here, there was no rush for us to pick our food. First time here and my partner and I both loved the food. Service was great. I got something off the lunch menu while my spouse got a breakfast burrito.
This is a clean, friendly place. Not fancy but beautiful murals on the walls. The Cuban sandwich is the best I've ever had! Order at the counter and bus your own dishes but it's worth the effort and time. I was there for breakfast but it appears they also serve alcoholic beverages. The coffee was good and they do have almond milk or oat milk if you are dairy-free.
I was expecting bread and honey and there was nothing like that on the menu. There is no bakery item in the building. The menu is all over the place. And these were the worst chilaquiles I've ever eaten. The Chile combination to make the sauce was off and the sauce was burnt so it was very bitter and bland. The presentation is nice but it wasn't delicious. The orange juice was very tasty. My husband's food was a strange. He didn't like it very much but he isn't one to complain plus this meal was spendy for what it was. He had the green Chile chicken fried steak. It was literally a bowl of green Chile pork (like a burrito stuffing) it wasn't a sauce or gravy. This place missed the mark. Also you have to get a menu when you first aarrive but you're not able to order from the table there arent waiters, you have to go back up to the counter to order??? Very strange.
This hidden gem is just minutes away from all the hustle and bustle of downtown Mesa. The food portions were plentiful, flavorful and the breakfast potatoes were delicious. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. Depending on the time of day, it can get very busy and parking may be limited, but definitely worth the wait
