We’re local and found this place online. Couldn’t find it on Airbnb or any of the travel Websites. It truly is a mom and pop operation. The phone rang and immediately they introduce themselves and start talking about these almost 100 year old cottages, they answered all questions and worked with me on price to fit my budget. If you’re looking to stay in the area consider supporting this local business opposed to the big chains. You’ll be in walking distance to the boardwalk, restaurants, bars pretty much anything you could want. You also have an ice cream shop on the property. The courtyard to the property is beautiful and the owners will always go above and beyond to make your special occasion even more special.
Was at a wedding in the courtyard and WOW, what a nice, private outdoor space. This courtyard can be dressed up, casual or over the top fancy. Great space, great location and helpful staff. We did not stay in the rooms but those that did just loved them.
This was the perfect B&B. Rooms are beautifully appointed. Welcomed with wine and fruit, with amazing danish and coffee for the next morning. We stayed in the Romance Cottage, which it was, with a fireplace and a large double shower. We enjoyed sitting on the front porch overlooking the courtyard. Just lovely. This would be an amazing place for a baby or bridal shower, wedding, small family reunion, tea, etc. Kemah is lucky to have this jewel.❤️
I rented this cottage for the weekend as a surprise for my boyfriend for his birthday. I first spoke with Matthew to get information on pricing and to get photos of this cottage. He was very nice and accommodating and helpful. I then spoke with his wife who helped me to finish the booking and answer any questions I had. She asked if we were celebrating any occasion and I told her yes we were celebrating my boyfriend’s birthday. She asked what he likes to drink/eat and what I like as well. I told her he loves red wine and chocolate. When we arrived, we were pleasantly surprised by the red wine and breakfast treats AND sweet hand-written note she had left us on the front table. They also gave us some great tips on restaurants and bars in Kemah. The cottage itself was so cute and vintage, very clean and we loved it. My boyfriend absolutely loved the cottage and was very happy with it. We loved the little area with shops that the cottage sits near, and really loved that it’s in walking distance from the boardwalk. Overall, we couldn’t have asked for a better stay! I highly recommend The Clipper Inn, and we will definitely be back! ☺️ Thank you Jen and Matthew!
Il y a tellement de CHOSES GENIALES à dire sur un endroit si petit et MAGNIFIQUE. Je ne sais tout simplement pas par où commencer ! 😊 Dois-je commencer par le moment où j'ai ouvert la petite clôture blanche à piquets et traversé le petit pont entouré de jardins bien entretenus et de vignes ? - Ou bien par le charmant cottage vintage magnifiquement décoré qui vous donne l'impression de séjourner dans LA MAISON DE POUPÉE LA PLUS MIGNONNE QUE VOUS AYEZ JAMAIS VUE ? Eh bien, je pourrais continuer longtemps ; toutefois, au fil de notre temps passé là-bas, cela n'a fait que s'améliorer !! - Surtout lorsque nous avons eu la chance de rencontrer Miss Barbara Hopper; l'une des propriétaires de la famille qui assure la gestion du Clipper House Inn. Miss Barbara est JUSTE UN VRAI SOUFFLE D'AIR FRAIS, et tout simplement UN ANGE TOUT ENTIÈRE ! 😇 C'est l'une des meilleures personnes que vous pourriez rencontrer. Elle nous a fait nous sentir chez nous tout de suite; et nous a accueillis avec amour et câlins comme si nous étions déjà de la famille ! Le restaurant et le vin là-bas ont reçu des prix; et le service client est exceptionnel !! Si vous cherchez une excellente escapade dans un cadre comme celui-ci..... C'EST LA BONNE VOIE À SUIVRE ! -Dites-lui que Yolanda et Leroy Johnson vous ont envoyé ! 😘
