The place is charming. Hammocks, chairs outside. A great relaxing place when it's warmer. But the fire alarm was chirping when we arrived. We immediately placed a call and email to the owner. We got no response for seven hours! My husband finally had to stand on a chair to take the fire alarm down so we could sleep. Also, in the instruction email talks about taking canoes out on the lake and gives instructions about it, so one would assume you can actually see and access the lake. The water is so low that there is no way to get anywhere near the water and you have to walk off the property to really even see the lake. I'm sure it's beautiful when the water isn't extremely low, but it's been low for quite a while so to advertise any access to the lake is not honest or accurate. No breakfast was served as advertised. They didn't even let us know about any breakfast. I just saw it in the description that we should have had breakfast. The owner can't control the water in the lake, but can control the way they describe their property and how responsive they are to problems on the property. We were not impressed! This place has definitely seen better days!

The Cove was clean & very quiet. Cute kitchenette with all you’d need, complimentary coffee & cute mugs. Roomy living area, & 2 bedrooms. Comfy bed. Very cute outdoor area to hang out at with lots seating & hammocks too. Rarely saw anyone that was staying there, so we felt alone, but in a good way! We were disappointed to not find the canoes, & Lake Travis was over 50 feet lower than normal. We didn’t know this till we went. The water is a bit of a hike from the property due to the draught. We did see a lotta deer in the area. Convenient to Lake Travis attractions like the Oasis. About 30 min to Austin downtown. We’d stay here again.

Definitely one of the my best trips. The location is magic, next to the lake. Very quiet but close to everything (less than 5min to the grocery), the landscape of the property reminds me some places in south of France. Very inspiring. Charming decoration, very clean, excellent bed, a lot of privacy, and hosts beyond kindness. I recommend

Spent my 30th Birthday at The Cove and had such a fun filled weekend! It’s such a beautiful place and we really enjoyed our stay there. Loved that we had access to the lake and went wake surfing the first day, built a bonfire every night and our last day there we went kayaking and hung out at the lake the whole day. Definitely recommend this place for a fun getaway!

Superbe refuge caché ! J’ai passé le week-end à me détendre dans des hamacs et à profiter d’un accès facile au lac ! Les soirées en plein air étaient parfaites ! Des feux de camp et un excellent endroit pour entendre de la musique live depuis un bar de l’autre côté du lac ! Une escapade bien méritée ! Nous reviendrons certainement !
