I have had a very positive experience at DSM, where I am currently taking both piano and voice lessons. Both Dr. Bob Lawrence and Dr. Abigail Head-Salmeron are highly skilled, patient, and attentive, and they tailor each lesson to my individual goals and ability level. The atmosphere is welcoming and professional, making it easy to stay motivated and engaged. I have seen steady improvement in both my technical skills and musical confidence, and I appreciate the structured yet flexible approach to instruction. I would highly recommend this school to anyone seeking high-quality music education.

Dr Lawrence is such a great jazz piano teacher. His enthusiasm is so contagious. He could be telling me garbage and I’d still be motivated to go home and practice. The best part is that he doesn’t. Every lesson is gold, and he tells you exactly what to work on and how to do it. The GOAT!

Absolutely incredible teacher and school!!!! I’ve only been a student for a few months and have gained so much insight on playing/understanding the piano. Dr. Lawrence should have been my first and only coach because I’m playing on another level with his teaching. Before DSM I studied other places but none can compare to DSM. I’m grateful, excited and I look forward to this new journey of mine with piano playing. Grateful to be a student here and thankful for the BEST coach in the world, yea I said the WORLD. ❤️

Wonderful experience. My son and daughter have both taken lessons at Dallas School of Music - several years ago. Now it's my turn and I'm learning how to play the piano and having a great time. Dallas School of Music is very special to my family!! I highly recommend them.

The Dallas School of Music is a fantastic establishment run by the well-respected music educator and accomplished jazz-pianist, Dr. Bob Lawrence. His teaching philosophy is the foundation of the school and is the reason for the welcoming, encouraging, and effective curriculum. I highly recommend this school for any person, regardless of their age or musical ability.
