The trainers know what they are doing and how they would like you to perform the exercise. They are helpful in correcting form and focusing on the client that she/he is working with. I like that there are only a few other people undergoing training while I am. I have a hearing deficit so it is great that I am able to hear my instructor clearly and there are no loud noises or music to compete with. I also love that I am able to see myself progressing by comparing my performance to previous workouts. The staff is caring and supportive.
I joined TEC with a specific purpose; to get in shape for a bucket-list trip to Machu Picchu. I have tried many different ways to get fit before -- gym, YMCA, Jazzercise, yoga, water aerobics, you name it. All ended in me getting injured, and some of these injuries resulted in surgery. TEC has not only exceeded expectations, but kept me free from injury, and made me stronger. When I started, I could barely go up 6 stairs without pausing. After 6 months, I was able to do hundreds of stairs and easily walk 5-10 miles per day. Not only did TEC make Machu Picchu possible (with its hundreds of up/down steps), it allowed me to go hiking in the Scottish Highlands, to easily pick up my grandchild, and plan more bucket-list travel. I have been going to TEC for over 2 years now and love it. I love the option for private coaching, that I only compete against myself, that everyone knows my name, and I get immediate feedback and results. I am 64, a cancer survivor, have had both knees replaced and arthritis in my back. Investing in TEC safe strength training has allowed me to create priceless memories. Highly recommend.
The Exercise Coach's protocol is easy to incorporate into my life and commit to doing consistently. Twenty minutes a few times a week is doable and you will absolutely see results. I've been going for about a month and I already feel stronger and more toned. The coaches on staff go above and beyond to make people feel comfortable and welcome and the group classes are reasonably priced and fun. Highly recommend.
