Joining The Fitting Rooms (TFR) in July 2024 was one of the best decisions I have ever made for my health, fitness and wellbeing. Having trained at various other gyms but never lasting longer than a few months, I have felt completely at home at TFR. I leave every session feeling motivated for the day ahead having had a brilliant session with the excellent training team. I take part in the shared PT sessions and sometimes it’s only myself and the PT! It is a great space to meet new people and get to know those who attend regularly. The professionalism and expertise of all the trainers is the best that I have experienced and I am lifting weights that I wouldn’t have gone anywhere near if I was training alone. I mostly train with Ryan and Lucy and they go above and beyond to make sure that I am doing the exercises correctly and improving my form, they’re both wonderful company as well. The fantastic facilities are up to date and are always clean. The showers and changing rooms are also great to use before cracking on with the rest of my day. I genuinely look forward to training here and I am pleased TFR is a big part of my life - would highly recommend!
I joined The Fitting Rooms two years ago at 37, having never really trained consistently in a gym—just the occasional workout without much structure, focus, or clear goals. My main motivation was to build lasting strength as I approached 40 and to help prevent further knee injuries, having previously torn both my ACL and MCL. I can confidently say I’ve achieved those goals and more—I have never felt this strong. Recently, after sustaining a bone bruise while playing rounders, I was able to recover and return to training much faster than I expected, and I truly credit that to the work I’ve put in at The Fitting Rooms. Trainers like Lucy and Ashley are incredibly patient and helpful in finding exercises that work around my knee injury, while still pushing me to improve. Honestly, I still can’t believe I’m able to deadlift properly now. The owners are incredibly supportive and accommodating, especially with my need for a flexible schedule. Their classes offer an excellent variety, from full-body workouts to abs and glutes to upper body sessions. I cannot recommend The Fitting Rooms highly enough.
I joined this gym after lockdown and couldn’t have made a better choice. The trainers are super friendly and knowledgeable – they take the time to get to know you, track your progress, and make sure you’re improving. I do the shared PT sessions, which are a great balance between one-to-one personal training and group workouts. Each trainer brings their own style,music taste and sense of humour which keeps you motivated. They’re great at adapting exercises around individual needs, so you always feel supported. I enjoy working out alongside other clients – who are genuinely encouraging and down-to-earth. If you want somewhere that guarantees progress (as long as you show up), this is it. They’ve massively improved both my physical and mental health.
I’ve been training at The Fitting Rooms with shared PT for almost a year now, and I really love the concept. The format offers the best of both worlds: you still get the personalised guidance and structure of a typical 1-to-1 personal training session, but with the added motivation and energy that comes from training alongside others. I’ve always been someone who trained regularly, but since joining TFR, I train more consistently and—most importantly—with real purpose and effectiveness. The programming is smart, the coaches are professional and cool and they create a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. In just a year, I’ve seen results that I never achieved in all my previous years of training elsewhere. Recommended!
