Excellent customer service with knowledgeable people for the type of herbal teas I wanted. Melton and the cashier were extremely helpful. Will definitely be going back.
I had to look to see if this store still existed, and I'm with another commenter saying I'm so glad you are still open. My grandparents were customers way back in the late 50s and my mom used to drive up from Santa Clara to get your bread. I was telling my daughter in law about it yesterday. I'm going to venture out and ask if you still make it. There was white and wheat. A heavy loaf and made the best sandwiches. My mom used to buy 6 at a time and freeze them. Good stuff. I'm out of state now but memories live on.

Calling all herbalists, natural/organic, and bulk nuts, seeds, and teas lovers. The Food Mill is a literal heaven!! Wanna buy organic black beans, Medjool dates, gogi berries, butterscotch chips or dried lavender IN BULK? Come through! Everybody who works there is so helpful and welcoming. Their store-made crunchy peanut butter is also my kryptonite. Parking could use some work, but I usually have no problem snagging street parking. I am a stan.
I love going to the Food Mill. They are very Covid safe and only let a small amount of people in at once. They have gloves for you to wear, and sanitizer, too.. It reminds me of my favorite co-op in Ukiah. There are lots of grains, nuts, and seeds in bulk. They also have organic vegetables and fruits that are in season. Can you believe they also bake their own cookies and sell them at a reasonable price. They also have a section with books on health - - like an old fashion health food store. At the Food Mill, Covid has made it so they are short on a lot of ingredients. I went there specifically to get herbs to make homemade root beer. Two of the ingredients I needed, weren't available. I talked with the owner and he said that Covid has hit a lot of their distributors very hard, and so they are out of certain items.
