My son had his wedding here recently and it was great. Stunning venue! The floor plan worked perfectly for guest before & during the ceremony, as well as the reception. My daughter-in-law hired a coordinator outside of the venue, which I believe was much needed. The venue coordinator that she worked with on the planning & contracting was a different story. Days before the wedding, her final invoice came back with a $6000 difference, but once she addressed it with the coordinator, coordinator immediately changed the billing to match was originally quoted. I recommend keeping good notes on what you’re told verbally as well as keep your itemized quote.
Andrea and her team were an absolute joy to work with for our wedding and reception. From the very beginning, they went above and beyond to make sure every detail was taken care of — even down to stocking my favorite sparkling water and the ingredients for my go-to cocktail. In the weeks leading up to the big day, we always felt like we had their full attention, and that level of care truly set them apart. The catering was phenomenal! Andrea recommended a few of their specialties, including chicken piccata and lasagna, and they were absolutely incredible. I may be biased, but I honestly think it was the best food I’ve ever had at a wedding. Our guests are still talking about it. Her team was attentive, professional, and eager to help in every way. They even helped us pull off a surprise appearance by KC Wolf at the reception, which was such a fun highlight of the night. For the quality of food, service, and overall experience, the value was unbeatable. We couldn’t be more grateful, and I wholeheartedly recommend Andrea and her team to anyone planning a wedding or event. They made our special day truly unforgettable.
Look no further. Truly the space alone speaks for itself and as an event planner myself I believe a venue should not need a full decor package but that the details and magic of the venue should stand - and the Gatsby does that and more. I had my wedding here and I could not have asked for more. Heidi and Sybil are wonderful and accommodating and will do everything in their power to make your day more than magical.
As someone who loves event planning and has worked in hospitality, I have really high standards, and the team here is AMAZING. They were so easy to work with from beginning to end. I completely trusted them to bring everything together, and they delivered ten-fold. Because they were so organized and professional, I was really able to sit back and enjoy my wedding day knowing that everything was going to be taken care of. I cannot recommend the Gatsby on Oak highly enough!
What a beautiful event space. What a great vibe and feeling to this room ❤️ very cozy and warm. I love the old architecture.
