The space is super cute—great aesthetic and vibe, definitely a nice-looking spot. Food highlights: • Hawaiian rice: Delicious — easily the standout. • Potatoes: Really good. • Blueberry sausage: Surprisingly good. What missed the mark: • A few items came out a bit cold, which took away from the experience. • Wings: Looked and tasted like they came straight from the frozen section—not fresh or crave-worthy. • Steak & egg taco: I wanted to love it, but the flavors weren’t working together. The mango salsa especially didn’t mesh with the rest. Overall: Beautiful setting with a few strong sides, but the execution was inconsistent—especially temperature and a couple items that felt low quality. I’d come back for the Hawaiian rice/potatoes, but I wouldn’t reorder the wings or the steak & egg taco.
DT location, beautiful views, and such a boujie aesthetic — the view alone is worth it. The food is super affordable (people think it’s just breakfast, but there’s so much other yummy stuff).. hand held food .. just everything yummy. Service was on point — our waitress was completely on the ball. Fresh, affordable food that you’d honestly expect to be way more expensive. I got a huge breakfast platter because I love breakfast and I’m so grateful they open early — I came in at 6:30. 3 blueberry sausages, 3 bacon strips, crispy seasoned potatoes with green onion (mmm), sourdough bread, and two pancakes — all for $29. Anywhere else this would’ve been taxed way higher. Definitely coming back!
I stopped into The Hard Bean Brunch Co. on my trip to Vancouver, and this place surprised me in the best way. I ordered the seafood Benny with herb shrimp on sourdough. The dish hit every mark. The eggs were cooked perfectly. The yolk spilled the moment my fork touched it. The sauce had a smooth, rich finish without feeling heavy. The shrimp carried real flavour, not just seasoning on the surface. The herbs came through with every bite, and the texture stayed tender. The sourdough held the heat and the sauce without going soggy, which says a lot about the quality of the bread and how well the dish is put together. The plate looked good, but the taste was even better. You could tell the kitchen pays attention to detail. Nothing felt rushed. Shereese made the visit even better. She paid attention, checked in at the right times, and carried a calm, warm energy. You never felt like a table number. She made the first visit feel familiar, which isn’t easy in a busy brunch spot. If you’re in Vancouver and want a brunch that’s worth your time, add this place to your list. I’ll be back.
SUCH a fun brunch menu - things I’d never put together that are insanely good together. i had the waffle wings 🤯👏 brown sugary CRISPY crust with Frank’s hot sauce was just out of this world, cant rave enough. i then had the eggs benedict with 🥑, it comes on yorkshire pudding instead of english muffins, all SO good, SO clever, SO fun 🤩
We had The basic Veggie brunch with Geunine coffee. We enjoyed both of the food items. Lee was very nice and well behaved. She helped us selecting the right options for the food. Its a must go if you are close to downtown and hungry for a BRUNCH!!
