My wife and I had an absolute pleasure stopping in at the Jade Forest on Easter Sunday. We were looking to get a plant for our new apartment in the city and we definitely landed in the right spot. From the greeting by Ernie the dog, helping us find the perfect hanging plant for our space, to wrapping it up in a personalized gift box, we could not recommend this place enough! They also gave us several food recommendations while they were getting the plant wrapped. We will for sure be stopping in now that we are living close.
My sisters and I were visiting Philly for a conference and wandering the city with open hearts and curious feet. Earlier that day, we were in a little bookstore when my sister asked me about A Course in Miracles. As a student of metaphysics, I smiled and said, “You can borrow mine.” Hours later—guided more by intuition than direction—we walked into The Jade Forest and met the luminous Mama Z. Within minutes, she mentioned A Course in Miracles out of the blue. Goosebumps. It felt like the universe confirming: yes, you’re exactly where you’re meant to be. The shop is beautiful—lush, earthy, full of soulful treasures—but let’s be real: Mama Z is the magic. She’s an artist, a plant whisperer, a cosmic auntie who drops wisdom without even trying. If you're in Philly, let yourself be pulled in by the energy. You’ll leave with more than just a crystal or plant—you’ll leave with a little more light.
This is the most beautiful plant shop I’ve ever been in! The shell and sea net displays made for such a unique theme. Air plants, jewelry, sparkly stones and more!
Wandered in by chance and invitation really, and left with so much joy in my heart. The owner was so kind and welcoming. Great little oasis for air plants and more. Really calming vibe here!
If I could give this plant shop 10 stars, I would! The cutest, quirkiest, friendliest plant store I've ever been to, hands-down. Curated and managed by a dynamic mother and daughter duo, the shop offers a nice variety of succulents and cacti tucked into seashells, terrariums, and other lovely and fitting vessels. Everywhere you turn there is an adorable or impressive or uncommon green friend, planted perfectly and displayed in an airy, peaceful environment that I would call "zen beach aesthetic". The prices are incredible and the proprietors were warm and personable. At the corner of South and 7th, this is an emerald gem in the heart of Philly!
