I’ve been coming to this salon for a long time for my BIAB appointments and usually have a really good, consistent experience. I’ve always been happy with the quality of their work. However, my visit today for a pedicure with my mum was disappointing. We booked and paid for a Deluxe Pedicure ($75) as usual. After they finished painting, I was suddenly told there was an extra $10 charge because they’d used shellac – even though this was never mentioned beforehand, and the colours they handed us weren’t explained as costing extra. When I questioned it, the lady said she thought we wanted to match our fingernails, which we never said or even mentioned. My mum’s pedicure was actually done really well, and the girl who painted hers even told the front desk not to charge us the extra fee. But the lady who did mine kept insisting that I either pay the extra or repaint. The paint job on my toes wasn’t great either – it definitely needed another layer. I’ve always had great experiences here, which is why today felt especially disappointing. I really hope they can be clearer with pricing and communication going forward, because it makes a big difference to loyal customers.
It was my first time at this salon and I’m so impressed! The place is clean and comfortable, and everyone is welcoming. Helen did my nails and she’s incredibly talented — very patient, careful, and really listens to what you want. My nails came out perfect: beautiful shape, smooth finish, and the color suits me so well. Totally worth it and I’ll definitely be back!
!!DO NOT COME TO THIS SALON!! My two ring fingers were not cured properly and when I had a shower the next day, the hot water made only those two nails bubble, and they began to peel after only a few weeks. Besides that, many of the nails are completely different lengths to each other, and the ends of several nails are no where near straight. I was also cut on my cuticles in several places. This was not worth $86 and I will not be coming back. Very disappointing. Edit: I have now tried removing these nails at home, as this worked fine for nails I have gotten elsewhere in the past. First I tried normal nail polish remover, which is what worked perfectly well when removing nails I got elsewhere, to then try a more acetone based polish remover, and neither worked at anything but removing the colour and melting the tip of the fake part of the nail they stuck to my real nail. The following day I tried using 100% pure acetone and that still would not remove anything and melt more of the acrylic on my nail, leaving the glue and parts of the fake nail still stuck to my nail. I then resorted to using a nail sander purposed for DOGS to try and get the nails off, and you'll never guess, but the glue was merged with my nail so hard that I couldn't remove the remaining fake nail without cutting through my real nail. I've ended up sanding as much as I could, cutting the ends as low as possible and painting over what was left with clear polish, and the last two photos are the result. And not to mention the absolutely disgusting smell these nails made when I sanded them, it smelt like rotting fish, and I wouldn't be at all surprised if this salon uses MMA glue, because these were absolutely impossible to remove. I refuse to return to this salon and pay them another cent to remove the rest of these nails, and if I thought I was upset about these nails before, I am beyond disappointed now. If I could rate this place a 0 or negative numbers I would, but I can't, so I will repeat !!DO NOT COME TO THIS SALON!!
Helen provided exceptional service. She is incredibly talented, patient, and attentive. I would highly recommend her to anyone seeking quality and care
my two best friends and I went to get our nails done today for my birthday, I showed the lady 3 simple nail designs that she refused to do she said it would take to much time, personally I believe you shouldn’t be accepting the appointments if you don’t have enough time to do what they are asking for instead they are assuming everyone wants a full colour or French tip nail design, the nails I left with are French tip but completely see through (photo attached) and very thin which makes it look almost dirty and cheap (will most likely break off quickly), my friend had to wait for mine and my other friends nails to be done before she was able to get her pedicure even though we had booked this in to be done together, whilst she was getting her pedicure and picking a colour she picked out 3 colours which all of them they didn’t have, why are they still in the box? Won’t be going back.
