Store: Bourbon selection bleak with high prices. Bar: Cool hangout spot with reasonable pricing. Major complaint: 1 hour before close, bartender was cleaning well liqour bottles by spraying Clorox on them and wiping them down. For starters, the spray was careless and likely hitting the pour spouts. I wouldn't order well drinks there. Next, they were wiping the bottles down and placing them directly in front of me. The smell of Clorox was overwhelming and made it difficult to enjoy my pour. Not a fan. Far better establishments exist.
I stopped by a few weeks ago hoping to find an IPA I had enjoyed at a restaurant downtown. It was my first visit. I was very pleased with the amount beer they carried and I did find what I was looking for. I didn't realize they had a lounge in the back. Last night my wife and I stopped by for a little while. The have a great selection on tap. There was live music. Brooklyn told us about the food truck and said you could bring your own food if you wanted. I didn't go out on the patio but seems like a cool place to meet friends and hang out when the weather allows. I'm sure we'll visit often.
Update 9/23: It's been awhile since I updated this review. It's become one of my favorite craft beer spots in town. They have great beginning of the week specials (love me some half off draft pours on Monday) and if you go later in the week, Big John's BBQ is there. They also have an amazing outdoor space. Great place to grab a beer and sit at the bar or pick up some beer to go. They have a great inside bar area in the back and a large outside space. They have a large amount of rotating taps and they do keep them rotated. You'll always find something new to drink here. They also have a cocktail bar and a lot of speciality drinks to choose from and from what I've seen, the bartenders are very talented and know what they are doing. They really are like a mini version of liquor express and definitely more convenient if you live closer to Madison than downtown Huntsville. Still, they have a pretty large selection of craft beer, specialty liquors, and wines. I usually only shop for the craft beer and sometimes I wish there was more to choose from but that's just how it goes sometimes. Stop by. Have a beer (or cocktail) and fin something to take home with you.
A hidden gem. The front looks like an ordinary wine shop. In the back is a great little bar with a cozy outdoor atmosphere. The live music was very good and the service was friendly and fast. Will return with friends. Oh, and the craft beer selection in the front store is really good. I am not sure about the wine selection. Will update the next time we visit.
One of my favorite chill spots (depending on who is keeping bar). They do not serve food, but you can bring your own. The retail side has more than a a lot of places here in town. You can choose a bottle of wine and enjoy it there (for a $10 corkage fee). They have a great beer selection and they have all sorts of liquor. Live music on the HUGE patio is always a treat!
