After driving by this salon many times I finally got an appointment. I have to say it was a very great experience. The front desk was super nice and smiling. All the hairstylist seemed to really enjoy being there helping their clients leave happy and beautiful! Jade was amazing and was upfront about how we can achieve the look i wanted since I was a hot mess of hair thats walked in lol. I am so glad she was able to make me feel me again and happy with my hair ☺️ her assistant was super kind and easy to talk to. I felt very comfortable here and I booked my next appointment right there in advance so I won't forget due to my busy schedule.
I love the atmosphere in this parlor when I walkin. I feel like I'm at home. Kelli is super awesome and the sweetest. She does the best perms in town. And she knows how to cut my hair to my perfection.
I saw Taylor for a curly cut and received the worst haircut of my life. She took about 4 inches off of the top layer of my hair even though I told her to keep the length. Overall, I’m incredibly disappointed. Maybe she is better with other curl patterns, but if you have thin/fine curly hair I highly recommend finding someone else.
I've been a loyal Aveda client via Master stylist Yvette Johnson for many, many years, but this was my first visit to The Parlor...And you know what? I Loved it!!!! Upon entering I was greeted by Destiny's bright smile and cheerful disposition.😊The tasteful Xmas decorations, already in full effect, just lit up the cozy, shabby chic decor of the shop!☃️ Although the shop was a little smaller than what I was use to, the place didn't feel cramped or cluttered. Great job Maria! Well, as usual, Yvette understood the assignment and completed my "deaux" to my satisfaction 1000% 🫡 Thanks Girl!!! You know your stuff! Another great day of self-care! The Parlor is my new home!💇🏾♀️🪮💈
Im sad to say I left the parlor on Aug 23rd 2025 with one of the worst haircuts ever. Im still very sad and disgusted every time I walk past a mirror. It was hard for me to tell at the salon what a terrible cut i received, i was a little alarmed when i seen her using the razor completely wrong, but i thought she was trained by aveda so it must be a new technique. Also I was not wearing my glasses since i was getting a hair cut. However when i got home and checked out my hair in the mirror with my glasses on, i just cried! I went there for a simple razor undercut pixie bob with layers, the same style I have worn for almost 8 years, ive had this cut done in Denver and reno for years and have always been happy. A short style with an undercut. Long layers on top and back and cut short underneath, I left with a very short hack job, extremely short everywhere and uneven. Normally the top is kept 4 to 5 inches long, and undercut about an inch and a half, instead now my hair is about an inch and a half everywhere, (No style at all) The following day a friend's mother who was visiting from Mexico evened out my hair but it will definitely take at least 5 months to grow back. The worst part is I paid for a "MASTER" hair stylist, yet i received a cut that an old time barber would have given. I was under the impression Aveda had the same training and levels for their hair stylist. Apparently that isn't the case. The person that chopped up my hair was kellie.
