Well sad to say I won't be spending my money here ever again. I recently decided to stock up on some bulk spices since I love BBQ and I make my own rubs. I bought eight different spices in bulk spending over 150 dollars. Price wasn't an issue, but the passive aggressive service I received from a depressed looking middle aged man was. Not only did he stop asking if there was anything else I needed after the third spice selection, he started getting short with other customers who were asking questions, exclaimed "I'm the only one here right now" before running off to get another staff member. Then after this entire display of unprofessional passive aggression in front of my daughter and me, he finishes by saying to get a wholesale account and "next time it's not a good idea to get a bulk order on a Saturday." Needless to say, I was dumbfounded. God forbid I ask to purchase spices from a grey haired man child spice merchant at the "The Spice Merchant" on a Saturday.
Hands down best place to buy coffee. Taste 10/10, Variety 50 out of 10😊, price per pound more than fair. Pulp Fiction level "the good s...stuff" OH a wall of tea like if Willie Wonka had Tea. Fun mugs, puzzles, of course spices, jams, cookies, cocoa, cards, hot sauce, 🔥.
A favorite for both locals and visitors. You'll find a helpful staff and a wonderful array of spices, coffees, teas, candies, kitchen items and gifts. No one ever leaves empty-handed. It's truly a Wichita treasure.

From fresh coffee beans to rows of teas, spices, and little treasures, it’s impossible to leave empty-handed. The atmosphere feels cozy, nostalgic, and welcoming all at once. Whether you’re grabbing your morning beans, browsing unique gifts, or just wandering for the vibes, this place is a Wichita gem.
This is a true gem of Wichita, right at the corner of Douglas and Cleveland. The Spice Merchant will mesmerize you with the smell of fresh coffee and spices once you step inside. The selection here is outstanding with a plethora of different coffee flavors, that can be purchased whole or ground, served by their friendly staff. The variety of spices is equally impressive and can be purchased in simple one ounce bags that make picking up multiple needs for any recipe a game changing convenience. Then there is a classic room dedicated entirely to tea, and the the rest of the store is loaded with racks of sauces, kitchen utensils, and awesome gifts. There is so much more to this fine business that it deserves to be checked out multiple times by all of Wichita residents and visitors.
