⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5/5 Stars - Highly Recommended for Date Night! I attended the Candlelight Concert tribute to Queen at The St. Matthews Centre and was absolutely blown away. This was not just a concert; it was an experience—a truly stunning and romantic evening that exceeded all my expectations. This performance marked the official debut of the Candlelight Concert series in the Kitchener-Waterloo Region, and what a debut it was! The atmosphere alone is worth the price of admission. Being completely surrounded by the gentle, flickering glow of hundreds of candles, illuminating the historic venue, created a warmth and intimacy that is impossible to replicate in a traditional setting. The music itself was perfection. The talented musicians brought a beautiful, soulful depth to Queen's legendary hits. Hearing those powerful rock anthems re-imagined with the elegance and emotional nuance of the strings was incredible. The sound was rich, the musicians were superb, and the entire acoustic experience was flawless. Highly Recommended for Couples: I originally purchased a gift card for my boyfriend for our third-year anniversary this past March, and using it for this show was an amazing decision. It was the perfect, romantic night out. We both thoroughly enjoyed the music, the visual beauty of the candlelight, and the opportunity to just spend quality time together in such a beautiful setting. If you are a couple looking for a special, memorable, and romantic date night in the Kitchener-Waterloo area, I cannot recommend this inaugural Candlelight concert at St. Matthews Centre highly enough. It was perfect from start to finish!
Great experience overall. The church has amazing acoustics for such a show. We look forward to future performances with Candlelight!!!
