The Teragram Ballroom est un lieu intime situé au 1234 W 7th St à Los Angeles (DTLA), comprenant trois bars complets et un espace polyvalent pouvant accueillir jusqu'à environ 300 invités, ainsi qu'une mezzanine privée pour 25 personnes. Two stars specifically due to ADA accommodations. The good: Small, intimate venue, pretty good sound system. I'd probably enjoy coming here for a show if I were able to stand all night. The venue got back to me ASAP when I emailed about ADA accommodations. Staff at the door were immediately helpful when I told them I would need ADA seating. They had us wait right near the door and let us enter before the GA line so that we could get settled. The bad: Once inside we were given small folding chairs, placed along the wall, left of stage. As more people who needed ADA were coming in the security guard placed their chairs all the way down the wall to back of the venue. Though many of them had to come all the way to the front to ask for help/chairs. The security guard wasn't very proactive in helping people. Once the crowd filled in seeing the stage was completely impossible. Not only that, but as people filled in and the show started you're essentially pinned to the wall with no space because people are standing inches away, in front of you. I had numerous people step on my feet trying to get towards the front.There was practically no space for my feet without having to move them each time someone walked by to avoid getting stepped on again. There was absolutely no path left to go to the bathroom/anywhere else in the venue without having to push through people. People who are not able-bodied would have a really hard time getting through and it's a safety hazard. Lastly, the folding chairs were horribly flimsy and uncomfortable and as someone who has to be in the ADA section due to chronic pain, they left me in even more pain. Teragram ballroom, please, please do better for disabled folks coming to see shows here. Those who are disabled should be able to see the stage and enjoy the show just as any other patron would. If you were able to remedy this situation, the venue would be so much better for everyone. There was a small balcony upstairs, but I'm assuming that was for VIP. Obviously it would be nice for ADA to be up there like in many other venues, but I'm guessing there might be an issue with space? Hoping management considers all of this going forward.
Bouncers: Friendly Bars: 3 full bars. Card & cash accepted. Staff: Great Restrooms: Clean Room for close to 300 people with a 25 person private mezzanine with bottle service for those so inclined. I went for a punk show and the venue let them get sufficiently rowdy, which is the hallmark of a good venue. The only downside is the same issue every venue has: Ticketmaster, but you can't fault the venue for someone else's monopoly. 5 stars!
Really intemint place to see your favorite band. Acoustics are great. Nice comfy balcony. Neat architecture. Don't bring cash to the bar as they are a cashless venue.
One of my favorite DTLA venues. Great stage set up and acoustics. Three bars on site. Two bars separated by the hallway entrance offer relaxed seating and bar food options. One bar located inside the venue. Parking across the street, $20 cash. Staff, bartenders and security are pro. Never had any hassles. Good times. Happy Trails!
This was my first time at this venue, and overall, it was a great experience. We were able to find street parking, which was a big plus since nearby garages charge anywhere from $15 to $30 for the night. There was no line when we arrived, likely because we got there a bit late and the first artist had already started. Inside, there’s a bar in the main dance area, as well as a side bar—perfect if you want to step away from the music, avoid the crowd, and actually hear the bartender while ordering a drink. The music was amazing, and the sound quality was incredible. I did wake up the next day with ringing in my ears, but that’s probably because I was standing too close to the stage! Overall, I loved the intimate feel of the venue, and I’d definitely come back.
