The Thrift (mais c'est un magasin vintage secret) est un magasin de vêtements à Cardiff proposant une importante collection vintage et d'occasion cachée derrière le 2 Fitzroy St, Rear CF24 4BL. I loveee this place so much! I’ve been 3 times so far and had so much success every time :) I will definitely be coming back again. They have so much in stock and at some really great prices, especially in the kilo section. Also, the staff there are so lovely and helpful
Bought a couple of bits a few months back, notably a real nice vintage HIM denim jacket. Owner was really friendly and helpful... can't wait to go back and have a look at everything all set up!
It’s round the back!! If I’d read the other reviews a bit more closely then we would’ve found it quicker… but it was dark and there where no signs to the place. Ended up getting directions by folks in the Howdens unit! Visiting from another city, this is the best permanent thift place I’ve been to in the UK so far, the range is great! I will say it’s super important to check each item over as they had some stained/ damaged pieces priced the same as newer comparable pieces, but I understand the difficulty of spotting these faults with such high levels of stock to process.
Came in looking for some bargains and unique items of clothing. We were not disappointed with the array of choice, but unfortunately the actual ability to find what you wanted was incredibly difficult as hardly anything had sizing cubes on. We were there roughly an hour and after sifting through 10+ racks, we only managed to find two things that were the right (and true to) size. The pricing was also pretty high for the type of clothing they sold. Whilst it might be ‘vintage’ items, if it’s visibly damaged or stained, it’s a little unreasonable to charge £35+ for it. Most items were £25+, so you’ll need a fair bit of cash if you come here and want to grab few items. The best part was the value rail, but no visible sizing on any items, so was a nightmare to go through it all.
