We worked with Ed Verdel to sell our Jersey City Home this winter. It was an incredibly easy process and I felt so well informed and well taken care of throughout. Not only did Ed present us with a very informed breakdown of the comps and listing recommendation, he was incredibly thoughtful and respectful during the walk through to make sure we were ready to list, as he knew that our decision to do so was one that was very emotionally heavy and we loved our home so much. Once our listing was ready, Ed was able to share it as a 'Private Exclusive' within Compass, and right before our listing went live, we got an offer that Ed skillfully helped us negotiate and we were able to sell our place without even going to market. Even after we were under contract, he kept us in the loop and answered questions for us to make sure that everything continued on smoothly. We closed in what felt like record time and with so much ease. Ed is a true expert at what he does, he is knowledgeable and professional and I really can't say enough good things about working with him. We have worked with several Realtors in Hudson County to buy and sell our homes and Ed is the one I would go back to time and again. Highly recommend!

Working with Ed Verdel to purchase my first home was a great experience. Even though it took ~1 year, he was incredibly patient and demonstrated a lot of integrity. I was sold on the very first place we saw, until Ed let me know they will be knocking down some old buildings behind the bedroom window and putting up condos, blocking a lot of the sunlight. He didn't need to tell me this and could have walked away with an easy sale. Instead, we saw ~20 more places over the next year. I highly recommend working with Ed due to his local knowledge and integrity.
Ed is top notch! He spent days with us touring houses and providing guidance on the very competitive market. He also got a great sense of what we were looking for in a house. When our offer was accepted, Ed connected us with an attorney, inspector, and title company that we're also incredible. His attorney, Laura, was great to work with and moved quick (helping us save a few thousand $). John his inspector, spent 2-3 hours with us, leaving no stone unturned, and provided the most thorough expectation report. The title company was also extremely professional and detailed. If we buy another house, I will work with Ed and his team again.
We had a great experience with Ed. I had spoken to several realtors and felt most comfortable with Ed. As a first time buyer he made the process easy for us. He was very responsive and available for all our questions and concerns. We were lucky to find our home within a month and Ed helped us from start to finish. Clearly defining our wants, pointing out issues in the houses we visited and steering us towards making the best offer possible.
