I attended Toronto Art Class over the course of two years. The staff is very knowledgeable and their guidance was vital in my successful Sheridan animation application. Almost every weekend I went to the instructed life drawing here, and I think this really made the difference. They have consistently good models, and Jun is a fantastic instructor. Going to these in person classes has the added benefit of being amongst peers, and being able to talk to others who are going through the same thing as you. The peer support really helps during the tougher moments of preparing a portfolio.

I began attending Toronto Art in the late spring of Grade 10 in hopes of developing a portfolio for my university applications. Prior to this, I had limited portfolio-worthy pieces and was not very confident in my artistic abilities. Toronto Art is a very friendly and welcoming environment. This studio helped me strengthen my skills in observational drawing, painting, graphic design and concept development, which allowed me to express myself skillfully through various art mediums. Jun and Janet are not only super supportive and kind, but they are also exceptional at what they do. They genuinely want to help you flourish and do your best. In addition, the instructors here at Toronto Art are also incredibly kind and talented; they are huge contributors to Toronto Art’s supportive environment. Many students, myself included, see them as mentors and role models. I was accepted to all undergraduate programs I applied to. I am now off to my top choice of university on merit scholarship. As I enter my freshman year, I feel prepared and more confident in my artistic abilities thanks to them. Toronto Art doesn't just help you create a really strong portfolio; they help foster your growth. I am truly happy I got to learn from them :) I highly recommend this studio!

This art class completely changed my perspective and opened me to a world of possibilities I didn’t even know existed. The instructors were incredibly dedicated, driven, and truly passionate about what they do. Their level of knowledge and creativity pushed me to think outside the box and approach art in ways I never imagined. They guided me every step of the way, helping me build an amazing portfolio that got me into my top programs! I am eternally grateful for their help and support. If you’re looking for a class that will inspire you, challenge you, and help you grow as an artist, I cannot recommend this one enough!

I went to Toronto Art from Sept-Dec 2023 for life drawing sessions with Jun Park because I wanted to improve my skills and get accepted into my dream school, Sheridan, for their animation program. Jun was an incredible instructor and I was truly able to learn so much from those classes! (And by the time college applications rolled around, I felt much more confident in my art). I’m happy to say that I was accepted in the end, and I know I would never have been able to make it without the help he gave me. I was also able to meet some incredible people and artists within my class and make many great friends. I highly recommend Toronto Art, whether you’re looking to get into school, improve upon your skills, or just make some new art friends. I really enjoyed my time there, and I’m sure you will too.

I attended classes at Toronto Art to build my portfolio for Sheridan (animation and illustration). Both Jun and Janet were extremely helpful and supportive when it came to preparing my portfolio. The art teachers were very friendly and patient. The classes are fairly small which allowed for more one-on-one with the teachers. I can tell that both the owners and teachers deeply care for the success of their students. With their help, I received offers from both programs I applied to, with high scores on my portfolios. I am very appreciative of all they’ve done and highly recommend them for anyone looking to build a strong portfolio for university/college.
