The food is pretty good. The crab somasa were the best item. It had layer of flavors that worked well with each component. The lobster 🦞 roll needed more work. The jerk chicken had a nice flavor but it could of had more heat in my opinion. But it was cooked perfectly juicy.
I’ve dined at Traveler’s Table several times and recently chose it to celebrate my birthday because I genuinely love the food. The dishes were excellent, flavorful, and beautifully prepared, as always. Unfortunately, one aspect of the service took away from the experience. When I mentioned that one of the drinks tasted off, our server (Miranda) became argumentative and defensive, insisting the batch was freshly made. To ensure it wasn’t just my personal taste, I had several friends try the drink, and they all agreed something seemed off. I ultimately let the issue go. What made the situation more disappointing was when a manager approached our table and explained fruit harvesting in a way that felt dismissive and degrading rather than professional or guest-focused. While I understand seasonality affects ingredients, it doesn’t justify speaking down to guests. If seasonality plays such a significant role, perhaps the menu should reflect what fruits are truly in season. That said, I want to acknowledge that this experience does not reflect the entire staff. Many of the other team members we interacted with were attentive, kind, and consistently went above and beyond to ensure we were taken care of, which is something I’ve come to expect and appreciate at Traveler’s Table. The food remains outstanding, and I hope this feedback is taken constructively, as I truly enjoy this restaurant and would love to continue celebrating special moments here.
Pretty impressive that one kitchen can handle so many cuisines from around the world and still retain quality like the amount of ingredients in there must be insane. Traveler’s Table was great! Started with three apps. First was Hawaiian Mochiko Chicken which was fine, fried chicken, but the sauce was delish. Next, the Japanese Kaki Fried Oysters which were pretty tasty, not fishy at all! Third was the Salmon Tartare which was my favorite. So fresh and delicious, a fun small perfect bite. For the main I got Nigerian Suya Skewers which were fireeee. So tender and had a great marinade / spice to it. The two sauces on the side were equally as fire. For dessert we split the Black Sesame Lava Cake with Ube Ice Cream and this was so yum. Warm, gooey, not overly rich and the ice cream was divine. I also had a Thai Me Up cocktail which was basically alcoholic thai tea aka made for me and it was too good. Then we split a margarita flight which included The Plumed Serpent, Tranquilo es Mio, and Happy Wife Happy Life. I thought they were all fine.
I absolutely loved my dinner here and the whole restaurant concept. I got the award winning flor de amor cocktail and was ready to give it my own award. Came on a Wednesday which happened to be oyster night and OMG the oaxacafeller oysters still make me salivate just thinking about them. I also tried the provaleta cheese dish, suya skewers, adobe snapper, Caribbean oxtails and chocolate lava cake. While the adobe snapper was just ok to me, the yucca fritter it came with was outstanding and could have been a dish on its own. The oxtails tasted of Indian influence way more than Caribbean but still got ate. Overall the good food was REALLY GOOD while the two I mentioned above were ok but by no means bad. I’ll absolutely return to try more items. Oh and my waiter Giovani was outstanding. He was on point, kind and amazing at his recommendations. We wanted help getting to Nigerian suya from Mexican oysters and he truly took us on a journey that made sense for our palates. 10/10 experience!
Our first time dining here and won’t be the last! My boyfriend and I were celebrating my bday this weekend and were in the area for the Cirque show. Our server Oscar did great, but felt like he could have been more present at the table. Everything we got was great, Oscar made some great recommendations. We tried their crab samosas and their shiitake dumplings, both very flavorful, and beautifully presented we felt bad eating them lol (the dumplings)! For dinner I had their lamb gnocchi and my boyfriend had their oxtail. Both had very good flavor; I just wish my lamb gnocchi came out hot, mine was just lukewarm. They also gave me a birthday dessert, which is a trio of ice cream, the ube one being my fave. The cocktails also did not disappoint. And I was obsessed with the menus; looked like a travelers journal. Also felt like everything was reasonably priced, for everything we ordered, our bill only came out to be just over $200. Cannot wait to come back! Thank you Traveler’s Table for providing a very unique and eclectic vibe and menu!
