⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Outstanding Customer Service at Trek Bicycle San Antonio South We had an excellent experience at Trek Bicycle San Antonio South from start to finish. I called the day before our visit to make sure they had the bike my son wanted in stock, and the team was kind enough to hold it for us until the next morning. That level of consideration alone made a great first impression. When we arrived the following day, we were greeted immediately, and the bike was already prepared and waiting for us. The staff went above and beyond by installing a kickstand and a water bottle cage, making sure everything was ready for my son to ride. We also took advantage of their accessory discount that comes with purchasing a bike, which allowed us to get my son a new helmet and the kickstand at a great price. What really stood out was how accommodating they were with payment. We explained that my son was using a combination of gift cards and cash he received for Christmas, and they had no issues handling multiple payment methods. They made the process smooth and stress-free. Eric and the entire team at the San Antonio South location were incredibly helpful and professional. They took the time to properly adjust the bike to fit my son’s height and comfort level, ensuring he left with a bike that was safe and perfectly set up for him. I highly recommend Trek Bicycle San Antonio South to anyone looking to purchase a new bike or bring in their current bike for service. The customer service is top-notch, and you will absolutely be happy with the experience.

These guys took really good care of me. They're extremely helpful and went out of their way make sure I got exactly what I needed and they even reached out to the manufacturer to use the warranty to pay for parts which save me a bunch of money. Awesome service. Definitely going back.
I still have not made up my mind about the Checkpoint ALR3 that I test rode a week ago, July 15, 2025. It's not that I have any doubts about the product, or the service. I just have not figured out how I would transport it to where I live in Guatemala. Having said that, I do want to acknowledge the amount of time that the sales clerk (Jake?) took with me. He fitted the bike with pedals and lights, lent me a helmet, and let me use the changing room to change into appropriate shorts and shoes that I had in my car. He answered all my questions, and addressed all my concerns, including offering to box the bike for airline transport. (I doubt that I will make another drive to Guatemala.) And at no point did I feel pressured to make a decision. The bike itself is the perfect size for me, for my long-term goal of touring in the mountains of Mexico and Central America. The pedaling, shifting, and braking are smoother than with any of the cheaper bikes I have owned. The range of gears, and the optional racks, would be good for carrying equipment on uphill climbs. I am looking for endurance and reliability, not speed. If I do buy a new bike this month or next, it will be this one.
Worked with Jake, and he was really great at his job. A lot of bike shops will gate-keep and really have an attitude of snobbery. Jake was very relaxed and good natured, up beat, and extremely helpful. He didn’t oversell or push, and I honestly spent a lot more money than I planned to just because of that experience. For reference, I’m closer to the Trek shop off Broadway, but those guys seem to hold themselves a little higher if you know what I mean. Had several so so experiences in there, but this shop was awesome.
