Great food and lovely service! Sushi is good value and super tasty, staff are welcoming and friendly. I have been here several times and it is always consistant, would definitely recommend!

Below par food and service. Called in advance for a table. Was told they had plenty of space. All seemed fine at first. When I arrived, the waitress said they had no space and was about to turn us away until I said I had a reservation. A table was quickly cleared and we were seated. Still OK so far... We were ignored for a few minutes with no menus to look at. Once menus were handed to us, we did end up using the QR codes to order food. The sign for this was placed facing the wall so was not good placement to make it obvious to begin with either... Nonetheless, we ordered food and waited. Drinks didn't even come out til 35 minutes later. Food arrived 45 minutes after we had ordered. The noodles were bland, honestly food was disappointing and not what you would class as authentic. Upside would be the atmosphere is nice. While staff are friendly, I do not think they have been trained well to provide optimum service.

We were really looking forward to trying this place for our anniversary dinner, but sadly it didn’t quite live up to our expectations. We arrived around 7:30pm on a Tuesday and were initially turned away until we mentioned that we had a booking (if you want to go here definitely book a table). The staff then quickly prepared a table for us, which I can understand if they were busy at the time. However, once seated, we weren’t given any menus. When we asked, they were handed to us quite abruptly before the server walked away. There’s also a QR code for the online menu, but it’s a bit clunky to use and I prefer being able to look at a physical menu before ordering. After placing our order, we waited around 25 minutes before checking in about our drinks and food. During that time, a table of four who arrived after us had already received theirs. It became clear that our order had been forgotten, as our drinks (two green teas) appeared shortly after we asked and considering they were just tea bags, they shouldn’t have taken that long. The restaurant had a short busy spell when we arrived, but it cleared out quickly, so it was confusing to see others being served before us. We finally got our food after 45 minutes. The servers themselves were friendly enough, but the food was disappointing. The vegetarian ramen lacked depth of flavour, apart from the overly sweet tofu skins, and the pork ramen was slightly spicy but otherwise quite bland. On a positive note, the atmosphere was pleasant and the decor is lovely, but overall the experience just didn’t match the expectations. Unfortunately, we won’t be returning, though as locals we’ll definitely keep looking for another spot for Japanese food in the area.

This is my second time being here, and the food is lovely and the sushi is also fresh. The prices they give are also on the larger side so I definitely recommend! The pricing is also cheaper than all the other Japanese restaurants in the area. The drink I got was a match latte, make sure to properly mix it before drinking. The matcha here is the best one I’ve ever had, but the drink amount has decreased since the last time I’ve gone. First photo is the time I went and the second is the first time I went. Still recommend because the drink price is only £2.80 and matcha is very expensive right now, so I still think it’s a good deal!

Absolutely delicious Japanese food near Bullring! 🍢🍲 Highly recommend the yakitori (grilled skewers) and sukiyaki – both were bursting with flavour and cooked to perfection. The service was super friendly, and the staff were very attentive without being pushy. 💯 The atmosphere is warm and authentic this spot is a hidden gem in the city centre. Will definitely be coming back! 😋✨
