Hands down the best sushi in Dallas. Our kids absolutely loved it. Highly recommend if you’re a sushi lover!
Simply awesome! We had an excellent experience here! We tried 4 rolls which was about 1 roll to many for us considering they brought us a couple samples to try. We really enjoyed the Chop Roll and the Las Vegas! The volcano was really good too. Unfortunately I don’t remember the name of the 4th roll, but it was our least favorite. They brought us 2 samples, one of which was the Cool Hawaiian roll which I will be ordering next time! I think it was my favorite taste of the evening! Service was excellent and friendly. Place was clean and well lit. Looking forward to coming back!
Ate the riceless chef special before I got to take photos— was great! Everything else was great and the restaurant included some stuff on the house. Very nice! Definitely will order again :) TY
Craving sushi — but nothing really compares to Japan’s fish market! In Tokyo 😉 We were in the mood for good sushi, and this place had high reviews, so I told my family, “Let’s give it a try!” It’s a small restaurant, and by the time we arrived around 8:00 PM (they close at 9:30 PM), more customers were already coming in. Ambiance: Nothing special — casual and simple. What we ordered: • Sashimi combo – It was pricey, but fresh.nice presentation • Rainbow roll – rice not the best • No-rice salmon roll – Instead of rice, it came wrapped around about an "inch "of crab roll. The crab was so overpowering I had to scrape it off — not what I expected. Ginger was not as fresh. Since my husband doesn’t eat sushi, we ordered the Bulgogi platter for him. Small salad came with it . But being a Japanese restaurant, I now realize we shouldn’t have ordered a Korean dish. It didn’t feel authentic, and unfortunately, he didn’t enjoy it. He was starving, but had to settle for it. The beef was drenched in sauce, which also soaked the steamed rice that came with it. Since we spent too much they gave us a sampler of their house special some crunchy sushi . Final thoughts: Fresh sushi but not quite the wow factor I hoped for. Maybe stick to the Japanese items next time and skip the fusion dishes.
We visited Umi Umi during a trip to Dallas for a baseball tournament, looking for a great sushi spot after our original plan fell through. We were blown away by the quality of their rolls! The flavors were fresh, creative, and absolutely delicious. The service was fantastic, and the atmosphere made our dining experience even better. We’ll definitely be back next time we’re in town. Highly recommend!
