Absolutely lovely lads!! Tried the chicken taco which was absolutely heavenly. As we share a name I got to snap a pic with the chefs. Wonderful vibes and even better food
Stumbled across these guys at a brewery in Marrickville on New Year's Day. As we were leaving the warehouse, a wonderous waft of marvelous meat fumes filled our nostrils. We had to give them a quick look up on Google and my god. 5 solid stars doesn't come around often. One review said we'd be lucky if we were ever in the same area as Ayjays, so being from the UK, would couldn't afford to miss the chance. 180 degrees later we were Infront of the terrific two, ordering the lamb and chicken tacos. Wow. What to say. Succulent slices of luscious lamb and perfectly pulled piles of chicken amongst their beautifully balanced flavours and tremendous texture combinations. Some of the best food we've had on our trip so far through Bangkok, Melbourne and Sydney. Bravo brothers 👍
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Uncle Ayjay’s Tacos Tracked down the Uncle Ayjay’s food truck after following them online — and the food absolutely delivered. My standout favourite was the pork taco: well-seasoned, rich, and cooked perfectly. I tried several others as well, and every taco was excellent — balanced flavours, fresh ingredients, and clearly made with care. Compared to most tacos I’ve had around Australia, these were on another level in terms of flavour and execution. One of the highlights was actually getting to chat with the team. We ended up talking about pork curry from my region of India, Coorg, and they were genuinely curious about the flavours and techniques. They even mentioned they’d like to try adapting it into a future taco, which says a lot about how open they are to experimenting and respecting different food cultures. If you’re into properly made tacos and thoughtful street food, follow Uncle Ayjay’s and keep an eye on where the truck is next. Definitely worth seeking out — especially if pork is your thing. 🌮🔥
The tacos, salsa, sauces, corn chips, everything was amazing. 10/10 food and service. It was so tasty and the best tacos we have ever had. Will definitely be back!
If you're lucky to come across these legends, dont waste any time and give them a try immediately! Not only are they super nice blokes, but they make some of the best, proper Mexican style tacos I've had outside of Mexico! Not to mention their wide variety of hot sauces that compliment perfectly! (Ask them if you're not sure which will go best on each different taco)
