Dr. Pantea Hashemi has been my Dermatologist for over six years. During this time, I have appreciated her knowledge, skill and attention given to me as a patient. During my encounters with her, she was never rushed and answered all of my questions. I always feel she is totally in the moment to address my needs. I highly recommend Dr. Hashemi if you are looking for a dermatologist. Also, the Assistants and staff are friendly and extremely helpful.
The pros: - Easy scheduling; so I have gotten appointments fairly quickly, instead of months of waiting in other places. The team is very responsive, they follow up quickly, answer text messages in a timely fashion, and call to let you know if they will be running behind, to be mindful of your time; - Dr. Hashemi is obviously very knowledgeable. She answered all my questions in the two visits we have had so far, and took time to explain my condition and the healing process. Though I met her PA, and she also came during the visit and again answered my questions, and explained my options; - Exam results were explained in writing, with the option of a follow up appointment. Could be improved: just ensuring first time patients have access to their online portal the same day--especially if the office will be close during the weekend, so we are able to remember our prescriptions and know what is for what; otherwise the newness might initially be a bit challenging to adjust to, given that we are not expert, and dealing with medical terms. This is a great practice, and I highly recommend it. The staff is polite and very friendly.
Dr. Hashimi was incredibly helpful and kind in explaining the best treatment options for my old acne scars. She recommended subcision along with Sculptra to help stimulate collagen beneath my scarring. Dr. Hashimi and her staff were gentle, attentive, and compassionate throughout the entire procedure. I’m very happy with my results from the first treatment and look forward to my next session. I’m truly grateful to have found such a wonderful dermatologist!
I can’t say enough good things about Dr. Hashemi. She is truly an exceptional dermatologist and one of the kindest, most personable doctors I’ve ever seen. From the moment she walked into the room, she made me feel comfortable, heard, and genuinely cared for. What really stood out to me is how well she listens. She takes the time to actually hear your concerns, asks thoughtful questions, and makes sure she understands exactly what you’re experiencing and what you’re hoping to achieve. I never once felt rushed or brushed off. Every question I had was taken seriously and answered clearly. She helped me with a persistent dry scalp issue that I had been dealing with for a while, and her approach was thorough and thoughtful. She explained what was going on in a way that actually made sense, walked me through my options, and tailored the treatment to what worked best for me rather than pushing a one-size-fits-all plan. She also prescribed me a newer-generation retinoid for both anti-aging and acne, and I really appreciated how intentional she was with that recommendation. She explained why it was a good fit for my skin, how to use it properly, and what results to expect, which made me feel confident and comfortable starting it. On top of being incredibly knowledgeable, Dr. Hashemi is just a genuinely kind human. She’s warm, approachable, and easy to talk to, which makes such a difference when you’re discussing skin concerns. You can tell she truly cares about her patients and loves what she does. If you’re looking for a dermatologist who is skilled, attentive, compassionate, and actually listens, I couldn’t recommend Dr. Hashemi more highly.
Dr. Hashemi is that rare gem of a doctor: She is extremely intelligent and focused, very professional but also has a wonderful bedside manner. Very authentically caring, she doesn't waste words or time, but you never feel rushed. On several occasions I have had emergency issues which she has found time to make a slot for me to come in to see her the day of. She never complains and is always open and curious. Another special thing about Dr, Hashemi is that you never feel pressured. I have had aggressive dermatologists in the past, and doctors who clearly wanted to dive Into procedures/money making ventures. I have never felt this even remotely...if anything, it feels like she is someone who really wants what is best for you, and allows you to decide what is best for you! I hope everyone can have the experience I have had, and I know that all of her patients, myself included, are extremely lucky to have her as a doctor. Please don't ever retire!
