I have long wavy-curly hair that I wanted to cut to medium length. Shanna did an amazing job at it. She gave me an adaptive butterfly layered cut, with the perfect bang length, followed all best practice for cutting wavy hair, taught me so much about my own hair type. She's my go-to hair stylist in Seattle. I liked the service at the salon so much, I ended up getting a gift card for future services for myself. I get compliments on my new haircut all the time and I recommend this salon to everyone. Shanna is one of the best hair stylists when it comes to curly and wavy hair
Shanna did an amazing job on my hair! I absolutely love the color and the cut- it’s exactly what I wanted. She’s so talented and attentive. Highly recommend! She really listened to what I wanted and delivered the perfect color and cut. Her attention to detail and professionalism made the whole experience wonderful. I couldn’t be happier with my hair! She is going to be my permanent stylist!!!
Update (Dec ‘25) - I came back to Vann Salon and got my haircut done again with Shanna, and this time I was genuinely impressed. She was incredibly patient in answering all my questions, gave me really helpful tips about my hair and how to maintain it, and most importantly , she gave me an amazing haircut. I walked out feeling so happy and confident with how it turned out. Special thanks to Lisa as well for giving me a credit from my last experience and for always being so welcoming and kind. That gesture really meant a lot and definitely shows how much they care about their clients. Really glad I gave it another try! Aug ‘25: I’ve been to Vann Studio a couple of times. The first visit was great, and I left happy after getting a haircut and partial balayage with Aspen, which is why I came back. Unfortunately, my second visit was disappointing. I had booked a haircut and thermal curls with Shanna. While the haircut itself was decent, the styling wasn’t what I asked for. I showed a reference photo, but the result didn’t resemble it at all. My hair looked mostly straight with no noticeable curls. Since I had an event right after, I couldn’t bring it up in the salon and followed up later by email (with photos). I never received any response. That lack of follow-up felt unprofessional, especially since I had been a happy client before.
I always trust Vann with my hair, as they know exactly what to do and treat me like a queen when I’m there!!! Kerriana is my girl and always gives me the best advice for what would look best with my face shape and wants. She has helped me in the past to go bold and saturated pink, to lovely auburn locks for a wedding, to an undercut to help me keep cool in the summer!!! Truly cannot recommend Vann Studio enough to people when they ask where I get my hair done, and always send them their way when they need not just a haircut or dye, but stylings and everything else you can ask for!!!
I’ve had 2 haircuts here with Sophia and I’ve never been happier with my hair!! She listened to exactly what I want and suggested things as required because my hair is curly. she’s also a great conversationalist and our appointments are so much fun!! Highly recommend 😄
