Do not sign up for thier personal training unless you want to be stuck for life. I have gone in to cancel my membership (two years ago and multiple times since) they always say it will be canceled, yet I keep getting billed. They gave me a phone number to call that no one ever answers, it gives an option to text but then no one ever responds to the text. Its extortion. I haven't use this personal training on over two years, and they will not cancel it. Negative stars.
Nice facility with an array of equipment. Unfortunately that is where the positives end. The gym is always packed plus the restrooms are not kept clean and up to standard. The worst part is the issues with billing. To cancel the membership it is done through the app but in my case I kept getting billed. When I discovered this error I cancelled my membership then contacted support to receive a refund for the previous months. They were of no help and continually said their policy was to not refund those months. POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE! This is a chain that has forgotten that customers pay their bills. The worst part is that my experience with VASA in Colorado was vastly different. I recommend avoiding use of VASA in Omaha until they make changes to the way they maintain their facilities and treatment of customers when issues arise.
I've worked with 2 personal trainers on their staff, one who is no longer there and Liv. Both are incredible trainers. Liv specifically is the kind of trainer for someone who has struggled feeling comfortable in the gym. She takes an interest in what may be a roadblock to your success and will help you work around it. She's also extremely competent, I suffered an injury a few weeks back and she developed workouts around the injury so I could keep the physical and mental momentum I had. 10/10, she's an asset to the gym and anyone she trains.
Everything started off great. We were excited to join vasa but unfortunately it took quite the turn. With its popularity its always busy and with that, it would be nice to have some more of the cable machines such as the hip adductors, abs, leg press, etc. They always have broken equipment from bathrooms, water fountains, and machines. Its frustrating with the long repair times it takes. Not sure if they have a maintenance department or what but they definitely need to do better with the repairs. Its also frustrating when the attachments for the cable machines are in need of replacement or when there isn't enough of them to go around. They also lack cleaning skills. Restrooms are always dirty, lacking hand soap, or lacking toilet paper. Dispensers seem to always be broken. Its gross to find toilet paper on the gym floor.
I’ve been a member at VASA for about 18 months. I really enjoyed it up until recently. They have had ongoing issues with the plumbing since August 17. There has not been a single working restroom for women on MANY occasions. I am told to go to the closest business(QT or McDonald’s was their suggestion). I contacted the company on August 17 about it and still have not received a response. I am very disappointed and have canceled my membership.
