I brought my sweet Gordie kitty to VEG due to him not feeing well and not eating. We came in on a late Sunday afternoon, and although it was busy, the staff treated Gordie and I with so much care. While Gordie was in the hospital, they allowed me to come in and visit him for as long as I wanted. They checked on Gordie and I to make sure we were comfortable and were always available for questions. We were so well taken care of! The cost of treatment was fair and nobody tried to upsell anything or add anything unnecessary to the bill. Unfortunately, it turned out my sweet Gordie was in kidney failure and after 24 hours of care, nothing improved and I had to make the toughest and hardest decision any pet parent has to make. I was at VEG for HOURS spending time with my kitty before ultimately making the call. We were given a quiet room with ambient lighting so we could snuggle and reminisce. Patty was our nurse that night and she was incredible. She was so thoughtful and kind. Kaitlyn (I’m not sure if that’s correct spelling) was also so sweet and helpful. The staff overall were so generous and lovely as I navigated a heartbreaking situation. Gordie passed away in the wee hours of the morning a couple days before Christmas. Thank you to everyone at VEG for showing us incredible kindness and for taking such good care of my sweet Gordie. I truly cannot say enough to how amazing you all were to us. What a fantastic team. If my family is ever in need of emergency vet care again, I will gladly go back to VEG in Pikesville. 💜
I took my senior cat, Sofia, in on Christmas Eve because she was not eating or drinking. After waiting several hours for the nearest ER Vet and not moving in line VEG was recommended. I drove an hour to them and they took us into a room immediately. I was able to stay with Sofia the whole time. The room was very clean and so was the restroom. They were very compassionate and communicative. They went over all of the options and prices and gave me time to make decisions. They were extremely busy with patients in more critical conditions and they still made time to communicate with me and thoughtfully create treatment options for Sofia. As soon as we got home Sofia drank almost a whole bowl of water and started to eat again. I cannot thank VEG enough and all of the staff who gave up time with their loved ones on Christmas Eve to help pets and their families!!!
Brought my dog in after he decided our decorative snowman looked delicious. The staff was nothing but friendly and helpful. The doctor went through all the test options and pricing prior to running everything so there was no sticker shock. I hope we never have to go back but it’s great knowing we have a reliable resource like VEG
We called ahead to get advice on treatment. When I arrived I was met at the door, triaged and my Bloodhound, who typically isn’t a good patient, was given an ultrasound and needle aspiration within 10 minutes of arrival. I was included in the care as his advocate, and we did the care in the open ER. I’m not sure my dog knew he was at the Vet! After the test we were offered a quiet room and staff made me comfortable with a coffee. After test results we were given our treatment plan and checkout was performed in the room, not at a desk. My test results and care plan were shared with my vet by VEG for follow on care. This was our second time there and both experiences went the same. Perfect
First I want to Thank each and EVERYONE of the wonderful ladies that helped me and Rogue! . They were absolutely amazing and attentive. I was in distress from the moment I arrived due the my Ro being in so much pain. We were helped immediately! Everyone was very attentive and kind. I had a hard time saying goodbye to my fur baby just as any animal lover would and Rogue was my first pet He’s been by my side since he was just a month old. I was able to be with him as long as I wanted until I was ready to say goodbye. I snuggled him one last time and gave him all the kisses possible. Although I chose to not keep his ashes I just wanted prints of his paws, I was given two prints along with a print of his nose and a small amount of his fur along with the hint of white from his paws. Even though No one had any clue of this but that little black nose and the white on his paws was my absolute favorite features of his outside of being the chunk he was. Thank you so so much ladies I hope you all get to see this and know your services were greatly appreciated. I know you didn’t see him at his best so I have shared a few photos
