I recently lost my Nova. She was a 13 yr old staffey one of a kind. Back in May she suffered from a stroke. I rushed her to the nearest vet where they then sent me to VEG. Thank goodness!!! MIKE, DR NELSON N NURSE AMY T WERE AMAZING. This place is like nothing I've ever experienced. There moto is you stay with your pet. NO taking your pet behind closed doors. Its a big open room with free standing stations. Everyone there from the moment we walked in was so kind n accommodating. In a traumatic situation they were calming. Also so fair n they really listened. I have told everyone who owns an animal about this place. Here is a true testament. I found out they hv many locations in the states. I moved from Las Vegas. I called my friend there to tell her about VEG. She needed them only 2 weeks later. Called to thank me saying everything I said was true n how amazing they were. So it showed me that VEG stands true to all they represent. Please not just for your animal but for us as owners please take your animal for a loving experience n one you will appreciate if ever your in need of emergency care. I promise you will be thankful you did!!!! I will continue to advocate for VEG because we need more veterinary offices like them!!!
Honestly, applause for everyone on the team for doing what they do best ^-^ I want to absolutely thank Dr. Davidson for everything. For quickly speaking with me on the phone initially to get everything rolling, to then seeing my boy right as we walked through the doors. She took care great in determining his condition (abscess in the paw) and assessing it without hesitation. Very friendly and just an awesome individual to have on the team who you can tell truly thrives to see animals through these hardened moments. She was incredible and I thank you so much! A major thank you also going to Elijah as well; he is overall a great guy to have on the team when your furry or scaled little one is not in the best of shape. Elijah was incredibly friendly, cordial and informative on their procedures at this hospital, how to follow up on Milo's treatment(s) and just keeping such a positive energy throughout the entire process. So again, huge props go to everyone ^-^ but especially Dr. Davidson and Elijah. Thank you! (my boy is a little knocked out after his visit but he's doing so much better already with having that abscess addressed) 🖤
Been to emergency vet centers over the years in NJ, MA and Saint Petersburg. VEG is an incredible facility. The techs and doctors are awesome. Felt very comfortable with the care Samson received. Would visit Samson twice a day and get brief every morning by text messages and during each visit I was also briefed. Samson was very sick. VEG takes care of the pets and also the parents of the fur babies. Samson made it home and enjoyed the Holiday. If you live in Saint Petersburg area and need emergency care VEG is outstanding, highly recommend VEG
It’s been a month since our visit, and it has taken some time to find the right words for this review. We brought our sweet girl Hannah in after noticing her stomach was distended and she seemed extremely anxious. Our regular vet wasn’t open yet, so we called and rushed over. They took her in immediately and made sure she was comfortable and made sure we were, too. We learned she had GDV, which meant we had to make a very difficult and time-sensitive decision between emergency surgery or letting her go. At 15 years old, after thinking it through with heavy hearts, we knew it was her time to cross the rainbow bridge. We miss her every single day, but we are so grateful for the compassionate care we received. The entire staff was incredibly comforting, patient, and gentle during one of the hardest moments of our lives. We have had negative experiences with ER vets in the past, but this team was truly different. They did not try to upsell or pressure us. They explained everything clearly, walked us through every step, and gave us all the private time we needed to say goodbye. Although the outcome wasn’t what we hoped for, it was beyond their control, and we are sincerely thankful that this is where we ended up that morning. I wish I could remember every name, but we were understandably overwhelmed. What I do remember is how cared for Hannah and we felt. Thank you for helping us through such a painful moment with dignity, compassion, and love. We will never hesitate to return here.
As soon as I walked in the doors with my kitty, we were welcomed & immediately tended too. The entire team was efficient & made me feel so comfortable the entire time, from start to finish. I was terrified, but the staff made me feel calm & like I was in the best hands. They told me I was always welcome to be present when they were working with him/doing tests. They offered me water/tea/snacks & a place to sleep (since he was staying overnight). I won’t go anywhere else next time I need emergency care for my kitty! Highly recommend this place. Special shoutout to the amazing staff that took care of my baby!
