We celebrated my son's 26th birthday there on 1/3/2026, and it was fantastic! There were 15 of us and we had drinks & apps and then ordered off the menu. Our server Jake was phenomenal, the bar manager Cheyenne was so personable and on point and all the food came out hot and together! Will definitely be back! Kudos to the entire team from mgr to kitchen and all! Thanks VICE!
Few positives and few negatives about this place. Positive was the chopped steak sandwich, the bread was fresh and steak was delicious. The shrimp appetizer was very good. The negatives: we were seated in a very uncomfortable end of the bar where chairs were same height as the table top, not sure who came up with this genius idea; we ordered Steakhouse burger, fried shrimp for app and wood fired steak sandwich. We waited for almost 15 minutes for food and at the end the burger came out cold, cheese was already solid, the meat was barely warm so not sure how long it’s been sitting on the station. The burger was underwhelming, totally not worth the price and the bacon was half cooked. I think the main reason we came there was because reviews were high and highly praised their food, I feel like it is an average place and no way as good as these people were giving it. Just my two cents, we never thought we’re were taken care in timely manner by our bartender, maybe that’s why he left our food sit so long or maybe because we didn’t order alcohol?.. who knows.
Loving the vibe and industrial atmosphere at Vice Restaurant in downtown Buffalo! Great menu to choose from! Delicious appetizers in shareable portions. I've been here on several occasions trying everything from their wood fired pizzas, salads, and on this visit I had their chicken cutlet entree which was really good! I really appreciate their creative cocktails and extensive bourbon selection too! This is a great place to dine before an event. They know how to hustle service if you have timed tickets for a show. I definitely recommend making a reservation. One odd thing I noticed this dining experience that never showed up before was an automated gratuity charge for only two people. We had already left a really generous tip and I didn't notice until the next day when I looked closer at the receipt. It was fine since the service was great but if they continue to do that for any size table not just groups it really should be mentioned when the bill is presented. Otherwise it was another great dining experience at Vice!
Excellent meal. Our waitress Tatum was great. Veronica tge event manager accommodated our group nicely. The kitchen manager checked in with us to see how everything was. Highly recommend this for group dining. We had 30 in our group. We had a private area in the upstairs loft (no elevator) The area was loud with the football game but they graciously turned the sound down in our area so our group could talk. Highly recommend Vice!
Nice restaurant with a bar and an open kitchen. They even have cornhole for people to have some fun. We had the steakhouse burger and beet&goat cheese salad. Steakhouse burger was tasty, oily and a bit too salty. Overall, a good burger with some costco texture fries. The salad was good. The disappointing part is that the receipt comes with an automatic 20% gratuity, and after you pay, the audacity to show an additional tip option on top on the receipt. The service was good but there were only 2 of us, not a party of 4-6+ people. Would I recommend, probably not, it wasn’t exceptional, just a regular sports bar with an enforced gratuity.
