Victoria's Steakhouse, au cœur du centre-ville de Hamilton, offre une expérience culinaire raffinée axée sur le steak et les fruits de mer, avec des options fraîches et locales et du bœuf Wagyu de première qualité. This review is about 18 months overdue but I wanted to highlight an experience I had at Victorias last June. I had a groomsmen dinner there with my two brothers and from beginning to end it was an absolutely unbelievable experience. The server was a complete pro, we got the classic steakhouse experience. They knew we were there for a special dinner so they comped us a few extras but most notably a few OZs of Waygu beef. The tomahawk, oysters, carrots and everything else we ate were cooked to perfection. I’ve been back to Victoria’s one time since then as I no longer live in the area but I am going to make it a point to return. These days restaurants don’t seem to last that long but I hope this place lives on in some way for a long time.
Went to Victoria's Steakhouse for a family dinner this week to celebrate birthdays and as a regular Xmas tradition. This was our first time at this restaurant and we were thoroughly impressed. We were seated in a side room which was very nice to have a more private setting as we have had difficulty having dinner in other restaurants where the noise level is very high preventing an opportunity to have a conversation without yelling at each other. We did notice that the main dining room was also quite quiet although fairly full. Lots of noise baffling furniture etc. Taking a look at the menu can be quite daunting as prices are quite high even for a high end Steakhouse. However we did go on a week day and took advantage of the special offering of a 6oz Tenderloin dinner including a starter, accompanied by choice of potato and a dessert for $65 pp. It was more than worth it! The entire meal was amazing. Flavorful and fresh ... excellent all around. Service was good but at times inconsistent in that dishes were not cleared quickly but all in all certainly satisfactory. Generally we just expect a higher level of service in a restaurant like this. I highly recommend this establishment for a group of any size. Don't settle for the Keg when there is a place like Victoria's right in downtown Hamilton!
Last night, my partner and I had the pleasure of dining at your remarkable restaurant for the first time, and the experience left a lasting impression. From the moment we were seated, there was an ease in the atmosphere, that quiet confidence a place holds when it truly knows its craft. The starters set the tone beautifully, each bite layered with care and intention. And then, the mid-meal palate cleansers, what a revelation. They surprised and delighted us both, refreshing not only our taste buds but our whole sense of the meal itself. Every detail felt thoughtfully considered, each flavor telling its own small story within the larger one of the evening. What truly elevated the night, though, were the people. Our host, CJ, and our server, Taylor, were exceptional warm, attentive, and genuinely engaged. Their laughter and enthusiasm for what they do added a personal touch that’s rare to find. It’s clear they take pride in the experience they help create, and that kind of sincerity lingers long after the last plate has been cleared. Thank you for a meal that was more than just delicious it was memorable, heartfelt, and wonderfully human. We look forward to returning and reliving that sense of care and craft once again. -Anna
Hidden gem alert! What a great dinner and experience. The drinks and food are very flavourful and delicious. Unique sauces and flavor combinations. Fresh and locally sourced foods that are seasonally inspired. Considering the quality of food, the price was very reasonable. The service is welcoming and professional and was memorable. Patty, Taylor and the whole crew at Victoria's make you feel at home and set this restaurant apart in terms of service. Would 100% recommend for a nice dinner out or special event. Thank you!
We knew that this was going to be an unbelievable experience from the moment we walked in the door and were greeted. The service was second to none, I can’t begin to comment on the food. It was so good. Their attention to detail is of note. This was one of the best dining experiences of our lives. My wife said that their Caesar Salad may have been the best she has ever had. What a great value too. We left feeling like family. It’s safe to say we have found our new favourite restaurant.
