Best venue in Long Beach! Kindly keeping the local music scene alive and taking great care of musicians while still maintaining respect for the neighborhood full of family’s. Free music 7 days a week. I really don’t know how they do it. Coined the “CBGB” of Long Beach. If you like good music and good people this is the place for you ❤️
I will never go to this venue again! I flew in from out of state for a concert I had been waiting for for months. The bar apparently had a 10 pm hard stop that they did not communicate until day of. The bands outted the venue onstage for the poor communication and the fact that the venue's sound guy was also about 20 minutes late for sound check. Even though the first two bands cut their sets short, and the closer did their transition/setup at NASCAR pit stop speed, they were only left with 20 minutes to cram their entire hour long set into. So many people came out to support these bands, and we got there early and bought a lot of drinks. The level of disrespect from the venue is unbelievable. I have worked in venue AV for a decade and at venues with hard stops; it is extremely unprofessional to not communicate that until day of and it is insane to enforce it after your sound guy was so late. I use this platform for positivity and to try to help my neighbors find the best food and drinks and experiences as well as to amplify local businesses and hopefully help them. Anytime I travel, I make it a point to share pictures and information about as many businesses as possible, as I'm generally checking a lot of them out. Sadly, I am writing my first 1 star review and coming here to warn others. Yes, the venue "graciously" allowed the band to play until 10:05 after the crowd refused to stop chanting, and yes the sound guy didn't pull the plug(although I saw his finger sitting on the master as we approached 10pm)... But it doesn't matter. Forcing a band to speed run a 60 minute set in 20 and with only 5 minutes to transition is outrageous. I question whether the hard stop was a venue policy or the policy of the staff that night. I thought Vine was a venue that supports local musicians, but I was obviously very mistaken. I cannot say this enough, do not frequent this establishment if you support local artists.
Great live music and vegan dogs!! Great local events and sweet staff. I love the wine selection and the variety of music they have. Loved seeing small local bands and bands like Bad Acid Trip.
I don't drink anymore, but when I did, this place had a great selection and still does. I mostly come for the music now, which is great because the shows start early and end early. I can walk here, but if you're driving, I would get there early as parking can be difficult as it is all over Long Beach. The bartenders here are great as well. Paul is one of the best.
The Vine is on 4th Street in Long Beach, CA. It's a bar and music venue. My girl and saw a local favorite and new band. The venue is small but the right size for the crowd draw (at least when we were there.) There's seating at the bar, three tables and plenty of standing room. There's an outside section in back, but I didn't make it out there. There was an excellent selection of beer in bottles, cans and on tap. The sound was great. Loud enough to have fun, but you can still talk to people. I'll definitely see a band there again. I'll be sure to show up a little early to get a seat.
