Unpleasant experience. The first employee was visibly & vocally annoyed that I hadn’t wiped my feet “enough” upon entering. After I politely declined help and said I was just browsing, she proceeded to watch me closely and follow me upstairs, standing awkwardly in the corner doing nothing but monitoring me. It felt paranoid and uncomfortable. Ironically, I was better dressed than she was but that’s beside the point. If the concern is theft, install cameras and train staff accordingly. Hovering over potential customers is not good service; it’s rude and off-putting. I’d recommend taking your business elsewhere. The selection isn’t unique enough to justify that level of hostility.
Do not consign here! I was out of the country when my pick up date passed. They sold my Dior scarf and refused to give me my share of the sale as the date had passed and I was no longer “in their system” (their “system” being a piece of paper, no computerized inventory here!). Funny how they were happy to keep 100% of the proceeds for themselves on an item no longer “in their system”. Other consignment stores donate to charity if an item is not retrieved on time—this store treats themselves as the charity. Oh, and the gentleman who originally accepted my consignment merchandise told me not to worry if the pick up date passed…they weren’t strict on that. Very unethical people, stay away.
I have mixed reviews about this store. If the younger associates are working they're friendly and helpful and it's fun to browse. However if the (I assume) owners are working, they turn customers away, rudely shut the door on you if it's "full" unless you're their friends (in which case they welcome you right in and then slam the door again on the people waiting outside), and once you're inside they treat you like an annoyance. The pieces are not nice enough or reasonably priced enough to deal with that treatment. So many other places to shop on the street instead
Very positive experience shopping here! Spoke to the owner Heli a bit and she was wonderful, and they gave me a good price for the item i was consigning. Keep in mind that they mainly take and sell luxury brands, namely those Italian/french houses. All the items they had were of at least great condition and they offer a fair price compared to online resale. Will be coming back to see what comes through here!
What is with treating all customers like shoplifters? I was made to wait outside for a long time because the store was at capacity, except there were only 2 people inside who the worker followed around the entire time? They have some cute things but sheesh stopping by is an unpleasant experience.
