Box was leaking and damaged coral was barely covered in water. Lasted 20 hours and never opened up. They chose to say no doa on coral and refused credit or to send a new one. Was a long time customer but no longer!!!$$ you nailed it it’s quality of my tank!!!! Lol
I bought an amazing blue angel from Violet the fish was packed perfectly I acclimated him as per their instructions he was in the tank in 15 min this fish is gorgeous and fat and eating like a hog after just being in the tank a couple of hours. This place is highly recommended and Dan is a pleasure to deal with. Thank you for this beautiful angel Chris B
I am outraged by my experience with this store. I purchased what was supposed to be a healthy bubble tip anemone, and it arrived sick, weak, and struggling to survive. The lack of quality control is shocking, they had MIXED ANEMONES in ONE container (bubble tip, long tip, and carpet sitting close in proximity), and it’s clear they don’t care about the wellbeing of the animals they sell. There was a MASSIVE Cyanobacteria outbreak in every single tank, but conveniently the anemone tanks were the only clean ones after I had called for several days talking about buying a nem. Not to mention there was a DYING anemone in one of their back most anemone tanks. I trusted this store to provide a healthy creature, and instead I was left dealing with a seriously ill animal. Their staff showed no accountability and offered zero helpful guidance or support. This is not just bad customer service—it’s irresponsible and cruel. I strongly do not recommend this place to anyone who values the health and safety of their pets. Save yourself the heartbreak and stress—go somewhere that actually cares about the animals they sell. These are NOT fish handlers and they are NOT experienced. We tried this place as a shot in the dark, BIG MISTAKE. Go to Aquatic Collections in Hayward, Neptune Aquatics in San Jose, or Clearwater Aquarium in San Jose. I’m writing this message crying, because I have to take this anemone that I’ve poured over 72 hours of work and attention into, just to be told it was my fault and that they had no responsibility in what happened. Thank you.
If I could give zero stars I would!! Second run with these guys to get it right and NOPE!!! Horrible first round shipping on the fish, ordered 24 and all dead, bags leaking and no packing and even worse!!! Only one heat packs!! 24 fish sitting in puddles and no heat packs for overnight shipping!!! Even worse California is three hours behind to CT in time so it wasn’t even a twenty four hour span. I was there to receive them… round two, sent an email and spoke on the phone, credit for seventeen photo proof, threw out the rest as two days later the rest went belly up!! Begged for tight and warm packing as these are hardy but delicate shippers(long spines and lyretails…. This time two large foam boxes, one had three little heat packs on the soaked bag, puddled water and here we go, nine dead!!! I open the second foam box and lo and behold, ONE HEAT PACK!!! After I begged and said hit me more for shipping….. The bags stunk so bad I was gagging…. They only take store credit and on the second round it’s tuff luck buddy, they could care less and no they don’t care about getting them packed tight and warm for the plane ride either!!! I have done a lot of business with Live Aquaria, Saltwater Fish.com, Pete’s, WWC and more, all great experiences and packed to perfection because they care. 810 gallon system and 25 years of enjoyment… Never have I seen such disregard for livestock!! NEVER AGAIN VIOLET AQUARIUM!!!
Arrived late and dead. 3 weeks and not return calls or contact and NO REFUND. My order Shipped with a heat pack in the middle of summer, 90 degree weather. Shipped next day UPS instead of overnight, why we have no idea. We bought enough product for free shipping and they seemed to cheap out on the packaging and shipping. Lost all of the corals, shrimp and more. They should not ship their livestock until they can do it reliably and safely for the livestock itself. Never Again!
