Ok this is definitely a niche resort choice. Overall a good experience, room was spacious and clean with the remodel. There are probably scenarios where the amenities make sense for the nightly rate. If you can get a good rate at the hotel, the restaurant and amenities could be good even for a single traveler or couple (off season perhaps). I think a family staycation style trip probably makes the most sense. The restaurant food was good, but it won't blow you away. Some might compare it to the casual buffet found on a cruise ship but the volume of guests at the resort is nowhere near a cruise so the selection will be less, maybe half what you are thinking as far as options. It is all inclusive to a point, not as snappy as a cruise or international experience, but this stay was during off season while hotel is still being remodeled. Don't expect to make up by drinking more. For a family that wants to keep everyone together in the same location doing activities, this could be worthwhile. Decent amount of amenities, a small beach and good selection of food and snacks, plus some schedule activities like live music, games, and sports.

My wife and I are local and decided to give the new Sandpiper IHG all-inclusive resort a try. We didn’t have very high expectations given the area, but unfortunately the experience was worse than expected. We checked in right at 4:00 pm and, given that this is marketed as an all-inclusive resort, we assumed food would be readily available. Instead, there was nothing open except what appeared to be a sports bar that barely looked operational. The only food available was a single tray of beef tips sitting out, with no other options. It felt awkward and uninviting, and definitely not like an all-inclusive experience. Hungry and disappointed, we ended up leaving the resort entirely just to find a restaurant that was open. Dinner at the resort wasn’t scheduled to open until 6:00 pm, and even then it didn’t actually open until around 6:10 pm. That may not sound like much, but when you’ve already had to leave the property to eat, it adds to the frustration. The property itself is beautiful, and the pools are very nice, but beyond that there isn’t much to do yet. The resort clearly feels unfinished. The rooms are clean and spacious, but they are dated, and the bed and pillows were extremely uncomfortable. The pillows honestly felt like something you’d buy at a dollar store, which made for a poor night’s sleep. Breakfast and dinner ended up being okay, but the service was not. The staff seemed unsure of what they were doing and did not appear trained for an all-inclusive environment. Our server asked my wife what she wanted to drink, completely ignored me, and walked away. When she came back to pour water for my wife, she spilled it all over the table and didn’t acknowledge it or apologize. The resort is very quiet and peaceful, which is nice, but it leaves a lot to be desired. There is potential here, but at the current price point, it is absolutely not worth it. Until construction is finished, more food options are available throughout the day, and the staff receives proper training, I would not recommend staying here. Honestly, I left feeling like I wanted my money back. This was a disappointing experience, especially for something being sold as an all-inclusive resort.

We are here right now, Jan 26, and are very satisfied! Room is great, just as pictured on website. Staff is very attentive, food at the Riverside Market is quite good with a good variety. All inclusive drinks are few, there is a charge for, like a can of beer or premium alcohol. Pools are awesome but not heated, infinity pool is quite chilly! Views are wonderful and the garden areas are coming along nicely. I thought the nightly price was worth it considering what you would pay at restaurants to eat out. Yes, it does have construction going on but it's not bothering us at all, they are very respectful. I hear day passes are quite reasonable. There are a lot of activities, even now with the construction. We will definitely be back as long as the prices don't skyrocket!

This resort was absolutely beautiful and the food was amazing! On top of that, the amenities were so fun and the entire property was extremely well kept. The staff — from the parking lot greeter to the buffet servers — were incredibly kind and helpful. My husband and I had a great time enjoying the pickleball and basketball amenities, along with the gorgeous infinity pool and stunning views. Highly recommended!!

This is a Beautiful Resort! It Has a Huge Potential Of Becoming A great All Inclusive Resort The View is Amazing Especially Sunset The Buffet Offers Delicious Food the Variety Could Be Better. Since they Just Reopened allot of things are still closed and being worked on. Just to keep it in mind if you want something specific call before you book to see if it’s already working. The pools were great heated in the not so sunny days . Allot of family Activities And the Staff is great So sweet and Helpful It was pleasure to get to meet the front desk Mackenzie and the mananger Kyle were really helpful. Even tho we had some bumps in our stay over all was a great stay and we will come back .
