Hands down the best açaí bowl I’ve ever had. We’re currently on vacation looking for the best spot, and we definitely found it. This place easily blows away the other spots nearby. The bowl was thick and creamy, loaded with fresh fruit, and I loved that you could add Nutella—something other places don’t offer. The service was excellent from the moment we walked in to the moment we left. We will definitely be back. Adding to this review, during this trip I went here 6 times. The acai and waffles were absolutely amazing
Honestly it was better than expected - we had to try it but; we are usually the type that goes savory with a little sweet to finish. But this was worth getting one each and going all in. We preferred the peanut butter banana waffle between the 2 (strawberry cream). It was busy but they kept it moving and got our food out in probably 15 mins still. Lots of scattered seating also was convenient. Recommend and will be back when the sweet tooth hits
Highly recommend!!! We had an amazing experience at Waffle and Berry—both my fiancée and I felt right at home from the moment we walked in. The food, service, and atmosphere were all incredible, and the entire team welcomed us with so much kindness, respect, and true aloha spirit. We ordered the Kireina Hana and the Peanut Butter Banana waffle, along with their fresh orange juice, and everything was absolutely delicious. One of our favorite parts was being able to add our own toppings—chia seeds, cacao nibs, coconut, and honey—which made the experience even more fun and customizable. We also have to mention their açaí—hands down our favorite açaí spot. Everything tasted fresh and made with so much care. The location is perfect too—close to the shops and the beach, making it an easy must-visit stop. A special shoutout to the owner, Cal, who is incredibly welcoming and respectful—not only to guests but also to his team. You can truly feel that he treats his staff like ohana, and it shows through the gratitude, compassion, and aloha spirit the team brings. We highly recommend Waffle and Berry and will absolutely be back again! Mahalo.
We were looking for a place with waffles and a separate place with acai bowls, and then luckily this gem showed up. We visited twice and had a great meal each time. The second time we learned that we were able to substitute açai for ice cream in case you don’t want to have ice cream for breakfast. Both styles were fantastic and sometimes you do need to have ice cream for breakfast. Got to have a great conversation with the owner Cal. Such a humble guy and he took the time to have a nice conversation with my boys. 💯 recommend this place for breakfast/dessert/snack. Great açaí and toppings. The boys said this needs to be a tradition if we’re back in Honolulu.
On our last day in Hawaii, my nephew and I stopped by Waffles and Berry for breakfast — a spot that already had a strong reputation online and definitely lived up to it. The place was bustling when we arrived, but service was quick and well-organized. You place your order at the counter and then choose your own table. Luckily, we found one just as another group was leaving, so the timing worked out perfectly. My nephew who absolutely loves pancakes and waffles, went for the Berries and Cream Waffle — and it did not disappoint. What arrived at our table was a towering masterpiece: fluffy waffles layered with fresh fruit, a generous helping of ice cream, and clouds of whipped cream, topped again with more fruit. He gave it a 9 out of 10 and said he wished he could get something like it back home. I ordered the Açaí bowl with a waffle on the side, and it looked as good as it tasted. The server kindly walked me over to the topping station, where I could add honey, coconut flakes, granola, and other extras to make it my own. It was refreshing, flavorful, and filling — the perfect breakfast to end our trip. Both of us had apple juice to drink, which came out quickly, and the rest of the food followed not long after. The portions were very generous, the presentation was great, and the staff were genuinely friendly and welcoming, even during the morning rush. Overall, Waffles and Berry is a fantastic breakfast stop in Waikīkī — cozy, efficient, and full of good vibes. Between the amazing food, friendly service, and wide range of drink options (coffee, mojitos, frozen drinks, juices), it’s easy to see why this place has such a high rating. Definitely worth visiting, especially if you love waffles as much as my nephew does.
