Driving down a street and discovering a new bookstore to explore makes me happy so I had to stop. Very nice selections in the usual subjects and a good selection of local, gender, political and social subjects to brows. Staff were very friendly and helpful. I will be back for further exploration!
I got a nice book to read for my flight home. When turbulence hits, a great way to cope with it and not freak out is to simply read a book! It works every time! This bookstore is so cute, we'll organized and they even hand write a brief synopsis of certain books inside the store to help the shopper know what the book is all about. Visit this book haven soon! It's very nice!
This place is just wonderful. Everyone there is helpful and respectful. I just spent over an hour wandering around and it was just the right amount of subtle check ins to give me a chance to ask for help and letting me browse to my hearts desire. I ended up ordering the book I originally came in for and then had a nice worker help me choose a cozy and witchy book for the season. Lots of local items and you can tell they love everyone in their community. Just feels safe when I walk in. Go! Buy your books and fun little items here!!!
Non-existent customer service. I needed help and was ignored the whole time, so I had to find stuff on my own. When a cashier did notice me and I was able to make my purchase, she did not even bother to give me a bag to carry what I bought, so I had to awkwardly carry all my things 10+ blocks back to my parking spot.
I’m thrilled that we have this independent bookstore in Vancouver. I was impressed by the number of books and clear support for the LGBTQI+ community. I liked the little spaces with tables and chairs for customers to sit and read. And I thoroughly enjoyed looking at the little stationary, art supplies and gifts. The people seemed nice when I heard them talking to another customer, but no one greeted me when I came in or checked in to see if they could help me. So it is nice if you want to be left alone to peruse.
