The performances are 5 stars. It's always a great show with a talented cast and crew. So why lower rating? Subscribing for the season is ridiculously complicated, slow, and restrictive. It feels like filing your taxes on paper. You cannot choose when you see each show. You cannot easily adjust the dates if necessary. You cannot choose your seats. Subscribing requires sending in a PDF form. Someone will phone you to take a credit card number—even though they have Squarespace set up to take donations on their website. Past subscribers get first pick of seats, which is gatekeeping enough to deter me from wanting to even bother. When I first subscribed, they refused to even process my order for 6 WEEKS, because existing subscribers get first dibs. I don't get it. Why work so hard to keep new audience members away? And frankly returning subscribers with that draconian form? You need money, right? You people to actually see your performances, yes?
The seats were uncomfortable and cramp but worse are the floor boards that are loose. Makes it hard for an elderly crowd to walk on. The theater is bit run down, but I like the overall design. Sound is better at top than in the middle of theater.
Wonderful shows/musicals. The talent, costumes, singing, dancing, music, and choreography are excellent. The sound system is so much better the last few seasons. Theater under the stars is alway a special evening.
Had a great time at Anastasia! Great venue and great performance. Plenty of snacks and good vibes.
Have been coming here for over ten years and the quality of the production’s are top notch. Three plays a season, June July and August. Bring a picnic dinner to enjoy before the show. Lots of picnic benches available. The venues has concessions with light snacks. Can be cold once the sun goes down so bring a blanket and jacket just in case. Live orchestra accompanies the performance.
