My 3rd grader loves Japanese food, so we celebrated his birthday here. He was so excited when he saw king salmon, blue fin tuna, sea urchin, wagyu, caviar, foie gras, oysters on the menu. For 3 person, we spent $475 w/ tips included. That’s the most expensive eat out we had but my son is so happy and that what’s important. We love the wagyu fried rice.

The food, service and ambiance are all great. This is for sure the best sushi restaurant in Louisville. The wagyu fried rice is a must. I don't have a picture because I ate it so fast. All the sushi is comparable to those in NYC, which makes sense since the chefs came from there. Special shoutout to the Scallop Inferno roll. It's so good and reminds me of Sapps in NYC, but BETTER. Yi has really elevated the bar. Highly recommend.

Best new sushi spot in the Highlands! We went to Yi Sushi Omakase for the first time and had a wonderful experience. Our server had great recommendations, the ambiance felt very relaxed but upscale, and we loved every item we ordered. For two people, we each got a drink, two types of sashimi, two rolls and two desserts! I especially loved the lychee martini and anything with the blue fin tuna is a hit. Ask your server for their favorites, you can’t go wrong! Can’t wait for our next visit in, thank you for the excellent dining experience.

Had a very delicious and wonderful dinner here. We had the squid and salmon nigiri, and the fried calamari for appetizers and they were both very good. The drinks were good and strong. And the sushi rolls were very good as well, both rolls had a good, cohesive combination of things in them. I would definitely recommend and come back here again to try different items.

When I first found out that Louisville had an omakase restaurant I was skeptical but also excited. I am so glad that my excitement was exceeded! The food was divine! I could not have possibly asked for better service. Our server, Maki was incredibly knowledgeable about each of the choices and helped us know how to enjoy each one. Not every Sushi dinner can be as special as in omacase, but I'm excited that they also offer regular entrees that one may order at will. This is fantastic if you dining demands a more budget-friendly option. But if it is a special occasion, I cannot recommend this restaurant enough! I'm going to try and go back next week for a more simpler experience of maybe just a single Sushi dish and a cocktail. I will update you all and let you know how that one goes!
