I signed up for a membership online last night and canceled today due to one of the worst customer service experiences I’ve ever had. I reserved a spot for a yoga class today at this 24 hour fitness location. I went online to get a guest pass for my mom to do the class with me. When we arrived at the gym we both were met with such hostility from the front desk staff. Since I already signed my mom up online, we were just trying to check her in on the kiosk. One of the managers there by the name of Patrick refused to let my elderly mother in with me to the yoga class. He said that people can’t come in just for a class, they have to use the guest pass only if they’re actually interested in joining the gym. I asked him if they have locations in the area she lives in and he said yes. I told him that’s why she’s here, because she’s interested in joining. He basically called me a liar and still refused to let her in while I was in the middle of checking her in on the kiosk. I got pissed and said never mind, we’ll leave. I told him I’ll be canceling my membership immediately. I don’t think I have ever been treated so horribly by customer service personnel before. I would like to mention this was at the front desk of the gym, which was extremely busy at the time due to the new year. Patrick spoke to us so rudely and hostile in front of multiple people and embarrassed us both. I couldn’t get out of there fast enough. I believe they harassed us the way they did to try and pressure my mother into signing up for a membership. They not only got her to not sign up, but they lost me as a member as well. Just because they wouldn’t let me bring a guest into the yoga class with me. I cancelled my membership within the hour of this happening and was given a full refund, which was $250 for the full year. I went straight to a nearby LA Fitness gym afterward and the front desk people were extremely nice and welcoming. They let me and my mom in to tour the place with no problem. I signed up right then and there just because of the polite employees and overall nice and inviting environment of the place. You definitely get what you pay for at 24 Hour, it’s cheap for a reason. I go to the gym to relieve stress, this experience definitely had the opposite effect on me.
I just got back into working out and I was really shy at first, but the employees are so helpful. This place is always so CLEAN and welcoming. Even when I’m working out and need help, the trainers are always open to share knowledge about physical health sciences or athletic training. I can’t believe how much more affordable this place is compared to other gyms while maintaining such a high standard of quality. They also have 4 new power lifting racks downstairs! Patrick and Marco are always so helpful when it comes to needing any help!
Matt at the front desk is fantastic - very friendly and personable. My main concern with this gym is the limited hours; given the name, I expected 24-hour access. Additionally, there’s a sizable annual fee. While it’s disclosed upfront, it’s not clearly shown on the website alongside the $9.99 basic package price, which feels a bit misleading. Because of that and the limited hours, I decided to cancel within a week before the annual fee was charged. Overall, though, the staff has been kind and accommodating, and my experience with them was positive.
This is a very outstanding gym! The staff is so attentive to your fitness goals and friendly. Professionally managed by Patrick, and they are always quick to address questions. They helped me get to where I needed to be to race my marathon at an incredible 8 min 47 seconds per mile! I did most of my training here and the trainer they recommended to me, Roman, was very knowledgeable and helped me crush my race. Would recommend signing up for a membership with their reasonable price point.
I’ve been using 24 Hour Fitness for the past three years across various cities and states, and the chain often has a reputation for being less than clean and fairly basic. However, this branch truly exceeded my expectations. It was exceptionally clean, with a wide variety of machines, weight racks, and benches available, ensuring I never had to wait long during my workout. The gym also has plenty of parking spaces, making it convenient to access even during peak hours. Although I didn’t use the spa facilities, they looked well-maintained from the outside. Overall, this location stood out as one of the better branches I’ve visited, offering a much more pleasant and organized experience.
