Would not recommend. If you voice your disappointment with something and want to have a conversation, they physically assault you. The woman grabbed my arm as I was leaving and I had to forcefully say don’t touch me twice till she let go and stopped pulling me. Not sure how they handle customer service elsewhere but in this country you don’t assault the customer. You have a calm and respectful conversation. Being barbaric and uncivilized is not how it should go. I will say they did a decent job with tightening the waist area. I think they’re good at doing low skill work but anything requiring high skill may be better off sending elsewhere. I also think their pricing is good and in line with other tailors in the area (nothing out of the expected range). It’s fair to mention that part of this may have been due to a language barrier. I mentioned that I wanted to adjust the breast area from the sides and she understood it as me saying I want her to work on the dress from the side versus the top (which is more expensive and she told me that the first time I came in to alter the dress). I came back a second time to get that adjustment done and said I’m willing to do whatever method you want as long as the side breast area is covered and it’s done well but she took it to mean just working from the side of the dress and not the top and then called me cheap (in front of other customers) for not wanting to do the work from the top when I said I’m down for whatever as long as the side area is covered well. I came back to do the adjustment the second time after being aware of the price so I knew what I was getting into but obviously I asked for a better price and didn’t get it but then being called cheap for a misunderstanding you had is wild. Finally, she was incapable of carrying a professional conversation. Just straight up started yelling. I eventually realized it was just not worth it and getting another dress is better cause the headache and harassment was too much for me to wait for her to calm down and fix the dress to my liking. If they respond it’s probably gonna be entertaining, animated and sprinkled with lies so definitely check back and see the punches they’ll throw (too bad they can’t assault me physically anymore) I wish this business luck. I think they had the potential to be a great place but yelling and assaulting customers is crazy.
I had a fantastic experience at A&J Pro Alterations! The staff was friendly, attentive, and truly skilled at their craft. I brought in some jeans that needed tailoring and the results were perfect. JESSICA made sure everything fit like it was custom-made for me. She was so sweet & gave great customer service. They were also quick with turnaround and communicated clearly about pick-up dates and pricing. It’s hard to find a place that combines quality work, fair prices, and great customer service, but this shop does it all. Highly recommend for any tailoring or alteration needs!
I had two gowns I needed altered for black and white tie galas in Paris, and I waited a bit too late to get them altered. A&J Pro Alterations did not just a phenomenal job on the alterations (the black dress needed quite a bit of work to size it correctly), but they were also able to get my dresses back to me in time for my departure. I’m eternally grateful for the team here!
Very thankful for their help. This was my first ever experience having something altered so unfortunately I did not properly plan for enough time in advance. Even still, they took great care of me! I was having my wedding dress tailored that was much too big on me so it was a big job. I was blown away by the results. They worked a miracle on my dress and showed genuine concern for the occasion and the results. Best service ever!
My dress was much too big. She even recommended I go down a size but this wasn’t possible since I got the dress from Nigeria. The dress was covered in sequins so the tailor was nervous at first to take my request. But let me tell you.. when I picked up my dress…it was PERFECT. She did an amazing job. No notes. This isn’t my first time shopping at A&J. They always do such great, affordable and timely work.
