Attended a workshop at the Artelier Studios. It is a great venue space. Lots if room and comfortable. The only thing is it is a little hard to find. But not so hard. I also like that it is close to the Paint Spot to buy supplies.

I have never done a class at Artelier Studios by Paint Spot, but I saw a painting I liked and wanted to enroll. The class is called the Togetherness Tree, and takes place on Mar. 23/25. The cost is $100. The project is done on 3 canvases, and they describe the class as “perfect for a double the fun way to spend time with your partner, family member or BFF. *This class is intended for painting with a friend.” I called them to ask if it could be done alone, by one person, and they said no. So I recruited a friend to be my painting partner, and registered. In my registration I gave my friend’s name, just in case they wanted it. Shortly after I got an email from them, and they were confused about why I’d added my friend’s name. Apparently each person needs to register separately and PAY separately! There is absolutely nothing in the class description that states this. This workshop already cost $100, and only one of the 2 people can keep it. I thought that it was absurd to charge $200 for this project that only one person would take home. It’s not even 2 canvases where each person could take one home. Everyone I’ve told about this had the same reaction, and couldn’t believe that they expected the ‘helper friend’ to also pay $100 and walk away with nothing. The friend who was going to accompany me said it was already too much for cheap canvases, acrylic paints bought in bulk and cheap paint brushes (most people have been to a Paint Nite, and this is what they use). I will not be taking any classes here in the future. This was the most bizarre painting/crafting experience I’ve ever had. I had to give this a rating of 1/5 stars to give a review, but my actual rating is 0/5 stars. Total money grab, especially in this economy. Do better Tara Klicper (Instructor)

I have taught two classes in the garage space of this building and the space is amazing. It's got great light, lots of room, extra sinks and a great separate eating area. If you need a space for teaching, I'd recommend this place. The owner was always there to let me in early for set up and wonderful to work with and accommodating to what I needed. If your looking to take an art class- check out this place, there was a huge selection of classes being offered which all looked amazing.
