Everyone at Aus-Tex Transmission were amazing!! I had a time crunch and we made a plan to have the transmission built in advance so when I dropped my truck off it could be swapped in a timely manner!! I came from San Angelo for the transmission build because I trust Pepe and the team with my truck!! The entire process went very smoothly and the way they helped me out was nothing short of awesome!!! Highly recommend!! Top Notch!!

I brought my 2018 F150 here for a 10r80 transmission rebuild. I was recommended to come here from a family friend that has also had transmission work done and was satisfied with the job. I called AusTex before bringing my truck in and let them know what was going on with it. They gave me good information and had great customer service. I called around to 3 different transmission shops, but I felt the most comfortable choosing AusTex With the knowledge they had and competitive pricing. They told me it was going to be 12 to 14 business days for my truck to get completed and they did it within that time. During that time, they were giving me updates with how the transmission build was coming along. After getting my truck back, I have drove it a little over 200 miles so far and it’s been great. From start to finish, the process was very simple and I would recommend this shop to others.

I had an outstanding experience at Aus-Tex! The team was professional, knowledgeable, and incredibly efficient. They had the transmission I was looking for in stock, scheduled my truck quickly, explained everything clearly, sent updates with photos via text, and had my truck back on the road in no time. The pricing was very fair, and the service was excellent. I highly recommend them to anyone needing diesel transmission upgrades or repairs.

Took my transmission in to have them rebuild it. Gave a 50% deposit only to be told the next day that they wouldn't do it because I had the bell housing repaired. I respect their right to reject the repair, but it is not cool for a company to reject the repair, without ordering any parts or performing any work, and then to keep a 15% "Restocking" fee. If parts had been ordered or work performed, I can agree, but this was rejected without either. Unfortunately, I had to come back to get parts that were not returned the first time. (yes, slightly on me, but I was preoccupied holding my tongue about the "Restocking" fee) Edited - Post reply response: You did offer me a replacement case, but I never asked you to cover the weld job. You miss the fact that the case itself tells a story and that is more important to me as it is my case and my story. A story that comes with multiple lessons learned and hopefully no more, other than a nice healthy long life. Now, I have amended my original review and removed the worst of it as you did refund my restocking fee, but only after I posted the review. I had gone through older reviews and attempted to contact PEPE per the number listed in the older responses but that number no longer worked. I was also going to amend to 3 stars as a neutral rating but as I've now had to detail a further response I'm only going to 2. I had literally only verified the clearance hours before your response and was traveling and unable to make the amendment I planned. Apologies it has gone this way.

This was my first time dealing with a local transmission builder and I have to say I had a great experience. Everybody there was knowledgeable and very straightforward on how the process worked and I felt comfortable giving them my money to have my 4L80 transmission built to go behind my 5.3 Silverado. I was able to speak with Pepe their transmission builder who gave me all the details and made me feel confident and comfortable that my money would be well spent. I’ve now gotten the transmission back and was able to go and drive it and it shifts great and handles the power absolutely flawlessly. And it comes with a warranty, which is a big plus that gives me peace of mind. I will absolutely do business with them again and recommend anyone who asks.
