I felt compelled to do a review of our comany's experience with Author Consulting over the past 3 years. Maddi and Eilish continue, year on year, to conceptualise, develop and direct the marketing for our group. Not only do they provide timely, creative, innovative, cost-effective service, their real skill lies in delivering proposal specific outcomes. Never have they failed in meeting our expectations. The team essentially an extension of our business these days which means more effective outcomes for us. The functionality and practicalities of the brand " tool kits " the team provide form the backbone of our broader marketing strategy at the beginning of each year. These promised deliverables and marketing collateral are critical for our business and are reflected in the yield of leads and sales we enjoy. These "fit for purpose" deliverables that the Author team continually provide to our group and the carefully cultivated creative flair and capability they have within their broader team allows us to focus on what we do daily clearer and knowing our marketing is in great hands. Authors other real strength lies in their ability to move quickly to meet the continuing changes we face within the markets our business operates in. Often, I find that their team is already across the relevant change and making allowances in our strategy to meet them. I have referred several of our clients to Author and will continue to do so.

I've now worked with Author on two projects. One for my personal brand one for my law firm. Both were better then I could have possibly expected and aligned with my brand and message in a way that was innovative and unique. I have referred several people and the sentiment is the same, Author knows what they are doing and are so easy to work with. Highly recommend.

I engaged Author Consulting in 2024 to develop branding for my small business and invested $6,600. Unfortunately, the experience was disappointing and did not reflect the value of that investment. While the brand strategy and tone of voice work were fine, the design process didn’t feel collaborative. My feedback was often met with defensiveness instead of solutions, and I felt pushed to accept a logo I didn’t like. I was also told that if I wanted further logo development, it would be out of scope and require additional payment, which created pressure to settle rather than refine the work. Throughout the process, I found myself apologising for not liking their concepts, while the owner never took accountability for my dissatisfaction. In the end, I paid the final invoice just to conclude the project, but was left with a brand identity I did not feel proud of and have since had to start over elsewhere. I would not recommend Author Consulting to small businesses or start-ups looking for flexibility, creativity, and a genuinely collaborative branding process.
