We hosted our wedding and reception at the Bourbon Barrel Loft, and it could not have been more perfect! The rustic candlelight, gorgeous table pieces and warm brick backdrop created a romantic, timeless atmosphere. The floral arrangements by Erin were absolutely STUNNING! Elegant, lush and perfectly placed. We had a tasting a couple of months before, and the food on our wedding day was even better! We chose a buffet, and every dish was amazing, the beef tenderloin and cod with champagne butter sauce were the stars. They even made an extra plate just for my husband and me since we were busy mingling, such a thoughtful touch. Everyone we worked with was professional, organized which made planning stress-free. I wanted to have a good time and not worry about anything. The cocktails were top notch, and the team created signature Bride and Groom cocktails that everyone loved. We had many out-of-town guests from every corner of country who absolutely loved the venue and all the Louisville recommendations nearby, it truly gave them a memorable Kentucky experience. Incredible food, service and ambiance made our night unforgettable. I highly recommend hosting your event with them. Thank You for giving us such a perfect night!
What an incredible full-service venue! We had a 60-person Rehearsal Dinner that transitioned to a 100+ Welcome Drinks Event, and the night was everything we could have imagined. We were in constant contact with the coordinator and her attention to detail was unmatched. The staff was accommodating, kind, and efficient. BBC not only provides the table settings and florals but allows you to customize the floorplan to match your needs. The bourbon barrel decorations along with the floor to ceiling glass windows make this venue stunning. Food was incredibly important to us and the food was AMAZING! You’re able to fully customize your dishes, although you can’t go wrong with any option. I’m still dreaming about the cornbread stuffed pork chop. Overall, I cannot recommend this place enough!
Our experience with this venue was deeply disappointing overall. After our wedding, several items belonging to the Loft were mistakenly packed up despite their own coordinator identifying them and setting them aside. Instead of ensuring their property was properly secured, the venue attempted to place blame on us and threatened to bill us, even though neither my wife nor I packed these items and the contract clearly stated clean up was handled by their staff. We returned the items when we had the availability, despite it being a 30 minute drive out of our way and difficult to fit into our busy schedules. When we discovered the items were missing, we even asked if they would meet us halfway to resolve the issue, but they declined, even though the mistake was on their end. Rather than acknowledging our effort or taking accountability for their oversight, the venue continued to shift responsibility onto us as the hosts, which felt unfair and unprofessional. On top of that, the staff began serving at the bar before our ceremony, despite us specifically requesting that the bar remain closed until after. This was disrespectful to our wishes and showed a lack of coordination. Even more concerning, the venue did not have proper disability access. We were told the elevator would be accessible on the day of the wedding, only to find out it is normally broken. This was misleading and unacceptable, as we had several guests who relied on that access and were directly impacted. Lastly, the food was completely over exaggerated during the planning process and fell far short of expectations. Many guests were disappointed, and it was not reflective of the quality we were led to believe we would receive. To be fair, the wedding itself went smoothly and the bartenders did a great job. Unfortunately, these positives were overshadowed by the venue’s lack of accountability, misleading communication, and unprofessional handling of issues. For a venue that should specialize in making a wedding stress free, this was the opposite experience. I would strongly caution future couples to review the contract carefully, ask detailed questions about accessibility, and be aware that the Loft may not take responsibility for mistakes made by their own team.
Truly a fairytale of a venue. This venue went above and beyond to ensure that our wedding ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception were a dream come true. Katie met with us multiple times, and was in constant communication leading up to the big day to ensure the day was exactly what we wanted. Our ceremony was beautiful, and then when our guests went downstairs to the bar for cocktail hour, the flip upstairs for our reception was quick, smooth, and the room was drop dead stunning. The staff here knows exactly how to make the day run smooth, are friendly, and so incredible. There was never a bar line; the food was fabulous, and tasted better than any wedding food I’ve ever had. We received numerous compliments about our dill chicken and green beans. This venue was a dream because it included the bar, food, decor, tables, florals, furniture, everything in one which alleviated so much stress of planning, and made the experience exciting instead of stressful. I would 100% recommend this venue to anyone. The best day of my entire life with zero problems.
What an incredible space and staff! After our original venue cancelled on us, we took a chance on the Bourbon Barrel Loft, and we couldn't be happier with our experience. The staff was attentive from the start, answering all of our questions, guiding us through their process, and helping us craft the most perfect wedding. We worked closely with Katie to design our wedding, and it turned out to be more than we could have ever imagined. The space was delicately set with beautiful candles and elegant decor for our group of 32. The food and drink were most important to us, and Bourbon Barrel Loft delivered! Both were PHENOMENAL! We highly recommend this place and can't say enough great things about the service, staff, food, drinks and space.
