Kay in a team lead position rude attitude towards trying to assist. I request to speak with Jamal the GM but was told he was in a meeting. I purchased an 85in tv, she sends a young lady out and said oh it cannot fit so you’re on your own and now responsible for the item. I just returned it. I will go shop at an establishment that is willing to assist with my purchase. Clearly the Bestbuy does not need my services.
Solid Best Buy location in my experience. Greeter was polite and pointed me exactly where I wanted to go. There were a few people in line in the computer department, and I saw everyone in front of me treated courteously and given correct info. When it was my turn to be helped, Christopher John went above and beyond to help me pick out my new laptop and some RAM for me to upgrade it with. I've shopped at this particular location maybe 5 or 6 times in recent years, and I haven't had any issues. In fact, service in general at all the Best Buy locations around me seem to be improved in the past year or two. Nice to shop in person when it is smooth like this!
This review is specifically for the Caroline Street Location: Back in July 4 2025 for my son’s birthday I purchased a gaming PC. That day I received excellent customer service and was purchasing add ins and accessories and got treated like a celebrity. Fast forward to December 20 2025. My husband and I went in to purchase a cable to perform a specific function in this PC. A rep that was in the section that’s wasn’t even his section was helping us and told us that we probably didn’t need it and to make sure before we bought it. He was helping us. Great service and suggestions. He suggested we ask them to pull up our receipt so they could tell us if we actually needed that past for the PC because some pcs don’t need that part. Anyway. We went to the register, nobody acknowledged us. Not even hi! someone’s is buying a keyboard and someone is buying an iPhone. But to not even say hi I’ll be with you in a moment. Is terrible. When they for finally comes to the register a girl (short black girl with twists) she doesn’t say I’ll be with you in a moment . It was I’m sorry I’m about to use this register. We are not stopping you from using the register we want acknowledgement and help. And we are well are a sale is about to take place. Anyway after the sale, and being being passed up by 2 make reps, . She finally asked how can I help you. Ok we need a receipt from July. I have the exact amount and date and she was like ok. She could t find it because she said afterwards well we don’t keep things in file for 3 months. But the proceeds to tell me went back to the year 2022. Why if you can only search out 3 months so that was a lie. She wasn’t very helpful from the beginning and I told her I had the whole printout at home but we was trying to make a purchase since we were here already. Her service is terrible and then retailers wonder why Amazon is winning. We decided to try up front at customer service. (A white lady). Was more helpful and outgoing that’s the black girl was. Somehow they linked up and the black girl was still on her high horse like I told you I could find the receipt more that 3 months back we even tried back to 2022. Just ratched and unprofessional. And we thanked the other girl for her help and left stating we will never come to Best Buy for another purchase of anything in the future. Now I’m not mad that they couldn’t find the receipt. It’s the questioning me like I don’t make an 2000*dollar purchase here. And the little to no help. At all. The lack of service. Well we left went home and ordered the part… from somewhere else because I refuse to give Best Buy my money.
They've really gone out of their way to be helpful to me here. In particular, I had one day I came in hoping to take advantage of a trade-in program and I had two devices to swap out for newer ones. They helped with printing the coupons I needed and ringing each one up separately so I got the discount on each of the new devices. They were really patient. I really recommend this location.
I’ll break it down like this! -Only the greeter spoke to us and then waited near the Goggle Nest for someone to ask if we need help. No, we had to go find someone! -Not busy at all (Sunday after Black Friday) -After waiting for the young man to get the correct key to open the case. We went to the register. -I asked if any of the Cyber Monday deals were available today (Never know) The cashier responded “No, that’s only online, hence cyber Monday “ At that point I felt as if my intelligence was being insulted. We politely collected our purchase and exited. Overall, make sure your retail IQ is up to par before asking ANY questions! Good Day!
