I visit this bakery quite often, they make a great sourdough baguettes and the bakery has overall nice vibes. Unfortunately, the bread or any baked goods for that matter, are mysteriously super hard if left for the next day. It is an utter disappointment cause the bread is so dry the next day after buying, that I need to use it as a French toast or simply reheat it to make it soft and chewable again. I know the products are all fresh when I m buying them, but there must be some ingredient that makes the dough go super hard and dry overnight. Also, have you tasted the brioche? I was unhappy since it was more hard than soft and that sort of light sweetness was nowhere. I ll keep coming for the small baby baguette if the plan is to have it the very same day. However, the rest of pastry is unfortunately a no go...
Criminally delicious. I want to both love and hate this bakery hahaha... it’s TOO GOOD! My favourites are their butter or chocolate croissants, cinnamon rolls and the savoury scallion miso. My partner loves their Kensington loaf. Be prepared to fall in love with this bakery :)
Great options if you’re booking for bread, lunch or a snack! I’ve tried a few things like the regular sourdough loaf, the toastie and the chocolate almond croissant. My only complaint would be that one of my toasties was heated up perfectly and then the next week when I got one and unwrapped it at home the cheese wasn’t even melted after they “heated it up”, but that won’t stop me from returning!
Checked out this nice bakery during my bike ride in the area. The rhubarb galatte is good with the lightly sweet crystallized sugar balancing the tart and sour flavour from the rhubarb. The buckwheat caramel financier is nice too - the buckwheat cake part is quite moist with an earthy profile. I don’t particularly love the sweet and salty caramel centre simply because I’m not a caramel person. It will be more suited for caramel lovers.
Best sandwiches in the city. They have a rotating selection of different types of sandwiches but my favourite has been green goddess turkey, blue cheese and roast beef, and chimichirri and salami. The bread amazing and I mean AMAZING, and affordable, recommend visiting and trying out a loaf of sour dough, brioche on the weekend, and the baguettes they have. They have great spreads, and an assortment of delicious baked good and sweets. Also the selection of different local goodies is amazing. Best bakery in the city, don’t miss out on this amazing gem.
