Blue Pearl has been here for me and my sweet kitty boy, Charlie, for a rough couple of weeks. He experienced a urinary blockage on Christmas day of all days. I have never been so grateful for a 24/7 pet hospital. Urinary blockages are fatal in cats, in as soon as 48-72 hours. This was a serious emergency. He got unblocked but unfortunately blocked again about a week and a half later. I elected to get him a perineal urethrostomy rather than rinse and repeat unblocking him and putting him through the stress of traveling to the vet over and over again. They let me come and visit him during his 2 day hospitalization, which meant so much to me. He's very skittish with strangers and strange places, and my presence got him to eat and purr for the first time since admitting him. While going through all of this has been an absolute nightmare combined with my current personal life (and, admittedly, expensive), I am beyond thrilled that I get to hang out at home with him and help him recover instead of having to start a new year without him. He's young and recovering very well. I have been up all hours of the night every night following his 8-hour medication administration schedule, and Blue Pearl staff has been available to take my call at 2, 3, and 4am on many occasions. I feel so secure that there are answers for me the moment I have questions. They helped me refill his pain medication when we ran out and he still was noticably in pain. I wasn't sure about this place after my first visit the first day, but they have shown up for me time and again. I trust Blue Pearl with my pets' lives.
