The ER/ICU docs were incredibly knowledgeable, professional, and caring. They talked me through every complex procedure with my golden retriever, understanding how emotional the process can be for owners. I could leave my pup overnight comforted that she would be well-loved by the technicians who were monitoring her recovery. They even thought to text me pictures throughout the night, which I was so thankful for. They allowed me to visit and spend as much time as possible there during the 3 days of surgery and recovery. I can’t thank them enough for saving my girl’s life. Highly recommend to anyone whose pet needs emergent care.
The best E/R animal hospital ever! Took me right in. They had a few that came in after me that required a higher level of care so it was a bit of a wait but none the less, by far, the best care ever. From the nice lady at check in,to the tech and two physicians. Very kind compassionate and knowledgable about the conditions of my cat.Taffy wasn’t a happy camper because she had suffered a pull muscle in the back leg which we thought might have been broke, but the staff made her comfortable with medicines and she is doing much better today. Thank you to the entire staff for taking care of Taffy and all the other animal population! You guys are very special and I appreciate the care, compassion and kindness I received! A valued customer. Unfortunately, after the review of my cat,( which was a great experience, we found a stray kitten(approximately 12 weeks old) laying in our yard, last Sunday morning. We brought it to blue pearl. They charged 178.00 just to walk in the door. The Doctors were very good in their field of medicine and answered all of our questions appropriately. They kept the kitten all day, it was dehydrated, suffering from hypothermia, vomiting, had giardia, hook worms, round worms, a lot was wrong with this little guy, whom my Grsnd daughter decided to call, “ Jack” after her 10 year old nephew that died in a car accident along with his Sister and Mom snd Dad. So, we left Jack for care. At 7 P.M. there was a shift change, they called with an update. His prognosis was grim. His blood pressure was drooping and despite all of the bolus fluids given, his blood pressure continued to drop. He was tachycardia also. At 11:00 P.M. the new doctor called and stated, “his prognosis is preset grim and we don’t know how long you want to keep going with this. ( we had already paid 2,500.00. ) so I had to make the awful decision to put the little guy down. He was suffering and I was out of money. Blue pearl did reimburse me 288.00 but I called the next day and spoke to Diana, front desk and explained to her, the kitty was a stray, we were just trying to help it, and now with a 2,500.00 bill, I was not going to be able to provide for Christmas like I had intended. I told the girl, I was on a fixed income and wanted to see if her manager in billing could give me a grievance reimbursment since we didn’t own the little guy. My Grand daughter was heart broken and despite everything, little Jack, didn’t survive. Diana was very attentive to my story and request and said she would have tge manager give me a call back to see if they could help me will tge bill. I did not recieve a call back, now I’m strapped for Christmas because of the outrageous fees on a kitten, we didn’t even own!! Blue Pearl, I’m a Grandmother on a fixed income. Just trying to get some help in this outrageous bill! Kindness matters.
I would’ve given this place five stars. The receptionist kept me calm when I brought in my dog, David. The technician that I had after being distraught about my David and very concerned she kept telling me “don’t go dark”. It’s not gonna do anybody any good! It’s certainly not a way to show compassion. I found it to be very negative instead. A Compassionate response would’ve been David is gonna be OK? I know that you’re concerned and upset but we promise we’ll do the best that we can. Her choice of words were negative. She repeated it a couple of times. I kept my cool! I wanted to say to her “trust me you don’t want me to go dark”.LOL Anyway, overall, it was pretty good experience. The doctor that I had was a female doctor. She was absolutely wonderful. She knew exactly what happened to my David and she said he was going to recover. So thank you to the front desk staff and the doctor that took care of David and evaluated him.
We had an unexpected emergency last night at 10 o’clock on Thanksgiving. I was cleaning my pugs ears, and when I pulled the Q-tip out, the top was gone! I didn’t know if it was just cotton or if part of the stick was lodged in her ear as well. I took her over to Blue Pearl and everyone was absolutely fantastic. I was in and out in less than an hour. The Vet successfully removed it in just a few minutes & thankfully, it was only cotton, no stick. I was afraid it was going to be hundreds of dollars for an emergency room visit on Thanksgiving but they were kind enough to only charge me for a tech visit, less than a hundred bucks! Awesome place, awesome people, and I can’t recommend them enough. Thank you, blue pearl for helping me and my little girl! 🐾
My mischievous little girl got into something she should not have. I did not know what had happened to her but when she started acting extremely strange I was afraid she was having a stroke. Needless to say I took off to Blue Pearl as fast as I could. They took her straight into the back for assessment and one of the nurses was very sweet to help console and calm me down. Everyone was extremely patient and polite. Dr Mike thoroughly explain to me her situation. He took great care for both my baby girl and my well-being. I can't say enough for their wonderful help. And I was not put in shock with the $$ charge $$. Thank you all so very much. She is her normal high spirits today .
